used to backup a failing HDD, I can't speak for copy speed since it was being copied over to this drive at 32 MB/s (the failing drive was connected through USB 2.0). Super duper convenient that it comes with a SATA to USB 3.x connector!!! 100% happy. No issues copyin things over
This drive works well. It did everything I needed it to do. No problems at all. Speed was good too. I did not use their software to move files. I don't even know where it was, but a QR code scan on the box would have told me. For my use, I simply formatted the drive and began to use it, moving many files to the drive. I did not use the USB to SATA cable that came with it. I plugged the drive directly to a SATA III cable in a computer, using it like an internal drive. Therefore, I cannot comment on the speed using the included cable.
This was an excellent buy. This is a great product every time I buy these and I have bought multiple SSD drives. I've never had a problem with any of them. If I would've known the prices were gonna skyrocket I would've bought a dozen of these at the time of this purchase. Now the prices are just too high.
I am unable to tell if it has helped with boot time. It brought up the information on the data drive quicker and more efficiently. I am unable to answer the question about durability because it has just been installed. Getting it through Walmart was unbelievably quick, and it was well-packaged.
Found this item on sale, works great. Speeds are not the same as an NVME SSD because of the form factor and technology, but it is fast enough for playing games on PC including AAA titles with no visual performance issues just 5-10 more seconds of load times compared to NVME Gen 3 SSDs.
I bought this 2TB SSD to install it in a Mini PC. The Mini PC has a 2.5" SATA3 expansion slot. This SSD fit perfectly. I was able to install Linux and had extra space for other purposes. The read /write speeds are sufficient for my purposes. I was getting 558 MB/s Read, 475.7 MB/s Write using the synthetic benchmark app Crystal Disk Mark. This SSD includes a 3 year warranty. All things told, I really like this SSD and I would recommend it.
This is a good value for the $$, It works great. I used this to do a new installation of Linux mint on my old PC.So now, I have it setup as a dual boot system. One SSD is windows and the other is for Linux. I'm wanting to get off of Windows completely because of all the privacy violations. For now I can switch between the 2 if I have a need to use windows. Only time will tell if it lasts.
Almost perfect. There seems to be a lot of interference because I started having connection issues with any wireless mouse I used. I had to move the mouse dongle to the front of the PC tower. Other than that, this SSD perfectly plays all the games my HDD were failing to play and 2TB for the price of 1TB is almost too good to be true. So if it's quick to fail, I can only blame myself. But I've relied on PNY for storage for years and it hasn't failed me yet.
PNY makes decent, reliable SSD drives that are in a good price range. this drive will be used as my primary drive on a MAG X570 Tomahawk AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8 core processor, 4.20GHz, with 32 GB of MP400 memory and NVIDIA basic graphics until I can afford better graphics.
Worked great until it didn't. Failed after 4 months. Because of the failure, my son lost most of his PS4 saved game data. I had hoped buying a brand name would prevent this from happening, not this time. I probably just got a dud, which happens at times with SSDs. Currently working on a RMA with PNY.
