Poldark
This is a wonderful story about the late 1700's in England after the revolutionary war in America. The characters are great, the scenery of Cornwall is gorgeous with the rock cliffs and the ocean pounding on the rocky shoreline. It gives the viewer a look at the separation of the classes and how hard life was for the common man. I hardily recommend this movie to anyone who also loves Jane Austin's novels. It leaves you wanting more of the story. Aiden Turner was great in the lead roll of Ross Poldark.

Poldark, The complete First Season
I have the original which came out in the 1970's...........this is an updated version with new actors. It's 1783 and Ross Poldark has returned home from the American Revolutionary War to find England in the grip of recession and his beloved Cornwall on its knees. His father is dead, his family's land and copper mines are in ruins, and his childhood sweetheart is about to marry his first cousin. This is an exceptional story which will hold your interest.............I highly recommend it.

The DVD worked well on our old blu-ray player. We enjoyed the story so much, but it IS set in a dark and troubled era.

Poldark!
I love the series on PBS on Sunday nights. I missed the 1st season so I was so glad to see it for sale at Wal-Mart! Can't wait to buy the 2nd season as well.

Poldark
Purchased season 1. Waiting for season 2 to be delivered. Will get season 3 asap. I'll be watching season 4 when it airs. Then I'm going to have a movie marathon in the correct order! This series is quite addictive. And Walmart has been my go-to video store since day one with great prices, fast delivery and safe packaging. Not to mention people friendly employees.

Poldark is fabulous
Oh man is this ever great! I was never expecting that it would be so awesome! And girls! Aiden Turner as Poldark is....well....perfect. He is perfectly cast in this role and he is definitely a manly guy. The scenery, the story, the horse, it is all great mid-18th century stuff, so well done. The story is captivating, have to read the books now. You will be so glad you bought this. They pull it off without any trashy talk or scenes, great stories

Great Series
I have watched the first two seasons, and look forward to the next season. As you would expect with Masterpiece, this has great acting, drama, romance, and beautiful scenery. A very enjoyable show with extreme emotional highs and lows, but you come out alright in the end.
