In the past, we used the powdered chlorine or tablets. They leave a residue on the pool tile and lower the pH, which became a problem that we had to frequently address. Liquid chlorine (sodium hypochlorite) raises the pH instead. We still have to watch the pH level, but it rarely needs adjusting. This product has a higher chlorine content than laundry bleach, so you need less.
I can't use pucks in my pool without the CYA hitting 100 in a few weeks therefore liquid chlorine is my go-to. This is always in stock and much better prices than at a “pool store”. I usually buy the two pack.
My question is why can I not buy the product at the store for the same price that I can buy it for online. In addition Walmart must then pay someone to deliver it to my house. I should really get a discount at the store instead of having to pay more.
I have no problem with the pool chlorine itself. The product is very good problem. I have a delivery by Walmart Personnel drop the 2 gallon containers on my front concrete porch and busted one of the gallons open which leaked out everywhere. Your delivery staff need to know that anything is liquid shouldn't be thrown or dropped, but placed for delivery.
Ordered 6 boxes and 4 came destroyed with Chlorine leaking out. Most were 1/2 or 1/3 full. What a mess. It was obviously an issue at the shipment location because some were put into a different box, half full in a plastic bag. Manager didn't want leaky chlorine in store - unable to get refund.
Delivered all leaky and eaten through boxes!!! And the driver didn't say anything!?! Who is working at Walmart that this gets by? You sell these individually, some genius at Walmart couldn't have opened these to find the leaky one and sell the others separately? No, Walmart delivers them to their Walmart customer. SMH! (I found the leaking one. And no I don't want to load these in the car and return them to Walmart!)
Just purchased 12 item and added to my pool. Each time I have checked chlorine level and it is the same as it was before and pool color is green after 6 hours. I don't feel odor of chlorine at all. This purchase was completely useless…
Not sure if I got a bad mix, had no chlorine smell. The bottles were sealed, so wasn't tampered with. Algae in my pool never went away even after constant brushing daily. I bought chlorine tablets, and the algae went away. I might still try in the off season. But if still no chlorine smell I will return.
I ordered 2 boxes of chlorine. When I went to get them out of my trunk the boxes were both smashed and the gallon of chlorine was leaking all over inside the box. It was beyond clear that the chlorine was leaking to the employee who not only shopped for it but to the employee that put it in my trunk upon pick up. Both employees need to do better at their jobs.
I paid for 14 gallons and received 7. Walmart would not deliver the balance and refused to give the credit for the 7 gallons that were not delivered. I tried twice to get the credit. Very dissatisfied and Walmart has hence lost a customer.
