Postal Pro Medium White Plastic Post Mounted Mailboxes

I really like this mailbox. none of mail gets wet when it rains. it assembled easily upon my post. it's is largest than normal postbox and holds basic packages well. I like the white color and numbers I bought and applied, stayed well attached.

The plastic mailbox holds up best to the environmental conditions of coastal areas. This one is stylush, and large enough to accomodate packages. The price was only a few dollars above the ordinary small mailbox that looks like the one we are replacing.

I chose this mailbox so the high side flag wouldn't cover any of my house numbers. I needed 5” Hy-Ko vinyl high intensity reflective yellow w black %23's on both sides. I also bought the same mailbox in black and white, not sure which I wanted to use, or if I needed to change the post. I thought black, like the smaller old metal one I removed (due to it's size, the side flag, %26 slightly raised areas for small %23's), %26 to re-use the strong straight simple round black post (centered underneath, not w the arm) %26 bc my numbers are black on yellow. Fortunately, the clean bright white mailbox looks great with my black post %26 %23's… bc the flat raised side panels is 1/4” higher than the identical dull, plastic black one… that looks like a dirty shop vac. My %23's including the yellow background are 5-5/8”. Starting at the bottom edge, did not fit vertically w/in the flat raised side (%23 area) of the ugly black mailbox, but fit perfectly on the white one. I guess they're made by a different machine. I never would've known this if I hadn't bought both and had side by side. I'll give away or return the black one.

We have been using this same mailbox for 3 years. We replaced it because someone thought it would be funny to blow up our mailbox. That is the only down side to plastic. It doesn't rust, but it blows into pieces when you use an explosive inside the box. I only took off a star for price, because I did see it somewhere for $19.97 and I payed $21.00. I did see it for more also though. I was willing to pay a little extra because I know and trust Wal-Mart and knew it would come quickly.

Needs a small piece of wood to mount. But looks good and works well.

MUCH IMPROVEMENT OVER PREVIOUS MAILBOX

I wish I had opened the box sooner. It looks to be very cheap quality. I can't imagine it lasting more and a few short years. It's a bit on the flimsy side. The only upside is that it looks good from a distance. The next box I buy, I think, will be from a store so I can see it before I buy it.
