The shiny side was no problem. However the cloth side was horrible. Once washed, the black side picked up all lint and debris all over that side.

These are a good size. They are excellent in protecting from hot oven items.

I gave one star because in the listing it says the pot holders are heat resistant up to 440 degrees according to the image. In the description wording below it says they are heat resistant up to 410 degrees. And further down it says they are heat resistant up to 400 degrees. Well, which one is it? Very confusing so I brought this up to Walmart customer service and they agreed that the description is indeed very misleading so I was refunded.

A few months of use and I had to throw these potholders in the garbage. Hot pans caused them to turn shiny, tiny pieces of the black fabric kept falling off and several times a potholder stuck to the bottom of the hot pan. If you are going to put the pan back on the heat and don't notice that, a fire could possibly start.

These potholders hold the heat and burn your hands…. They do not insulate your hands from the hot pans
