I used to play this on the computer as a child and loved it, so I was really excited to find the board game version to play with my kids. We homeschool and use a lot of games to sneak in learning so I'm looking forward to sneaking in some geography to family game night.
Simple but super cute!! A little like clue! Our girl, age 7, love it!
A fun way to learn with this board game.
My 10 granddaughter really enjoyed playing this game. Our only suggestion is that the Carmen markers need to be differentiated more.
This is like clue but it's easier to move around to the places and possible to play with two people.
My 7 year old daughter and I have a great time playing this Carmen San Diego board game. She loves discovering who, took what, to where! The game is fully equipped with everything you need. I like that the passports that you use to keep track of the suspects are dry erase, no wasted paper. When we first played, I was stumped because the die had no numbers on it. There are stickers to add the numbers onto the die.
better price than other discount stores. love the concept
This is made in Guangdong, China. This game is for ages 8 and older. This game comes with cards, Carmen game pieces in 4 different colors, the confidential answer folder, the passports for the clues and the dry erase markers. First off, let me says that I love that there is dry erase markers and no paper. This is so brilliant! There is no waste playing this game and replacement markers can be bought at dollar store for 1.00. I love this! This game is fun and reminds me a lot of clue. It is different in the fact that you are asking opponents any of the 3 clues. You have to constantly be on the move. Once you are on a country, you can only ask one question and then must move to another location. In order to solve the mystery, you have to be on the Isle of Vile. It was a neck and neck game to get to the space to give the answer! It was fun. Although this game is for 8 and older, I played with children 6 and 8 and it went well. I think it depends on your child's desire to play and ability to read.
You buy this because your kids love Carmen San Diego, but ultimately this is a Clue knock off. The game pieces don't have a great deal of differentiation which is very disappointing. Would be difficult for a young child, but at 9 they're already learning the strategy part.
The product is okay. The quality is basic at best. The concept of the game is basically clue but I have to say Clue does it better. It's not clear how you can move you pawn, the instructions are sort of unclear.
