Family activity
My granddaughter surprised me by asking to learn to play chess. I am sure we will have fun learning together.

Good for beginners
Board is pretty flimsy and the pieces are very lightweight. Bought it for my 8 year old who wants to learn. For the $4 price, it's a good buy for a beginner.

the cheapest chess set, it was $8 so I wasnt expecting much. the dollar store has better quality. also package was smashed
