[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Oregon Trail: Journey to Willamette Valley game is a classic made even more fun! I was a little skeptical at first because it seemed mundane from first look, but when you get going.. it's hours of fun! The packaging is classic and inviting for nostalgia purposes, the instructions are clear, and you easily lose track of time when playing. Definitely recommend!

Our family has really enjoyed this game. Even though youre competing to get to Williamsburg first youre still working together to build the trail. The age requirement could definitely be lowered as our 5 year old understands the game but ill admit her attention span isnt quite long enough to last the entire game. For a more challenging hame i recommend the card game version! Its much more difficult to win!

This is going to be a gift for my son for Christmas. He used to love playing it on the computer when he was small so I am very glad there is a board game!!

Gave this to my mom as a birthday present. She was super excited! Looking forward to playing it with her! She played the original computer game back in the day.

Fun game. Only downside is that it takes a very long time to set up and get used to the first few times. It's fun and pretty different from other games I've played which was refreshing.

I loved playing this game on the computer growing up so I look forward to playing this. However, it is missing 4 red player pieces for the family members. I received two blue sets , a yellow %26 purple set instead of a set of each color (red, yellow, purple, blue).

Way too expensive for a game

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As parents of very young children my husband and I had to embark upon the journey to wilamette valley after midnight when our littles where sure to stay in bed. Upon opening the box we had to watch the video mentioned on the instructions SEVERAL times and still messed up with game play. (Laid tiles wrong once.) There's a lot to learn and so many steps and rules! I'm pretty confident after that first game that our next ones will flow much easier and be even more fun. There's much chance and strategy. It's a very well thought out game. I would prefer if the supply cubes had words on them instead of just numbers but that's not to bad. As a huge fan of the computer game I was so looking forward to trying this game, and I think they lived up to the hype! The humor in the instructions kept us laughing. I definitely recommend the Oregon trail board game for your next game night!

The instructions are pretty but poorly written, difficult to follow. Board set up was OK. Too many unanswered questions. For example, if one starts at a fort, does each item - Meat, Pistol, Compass, Medicine cost $100 or do you buy all 4 for $100. How and who reloads the fort? The first YouTube I watched all it was was a verbal reading of the same instructions I held in my hand. I have not given up... yet.

This game was so complex. I tried to play with my 11yo son and we spent so much time trying to figure it out that we maxed out our allotted time to play. They could have made this much more basic and maintained the idea from the original computer game
