Pressman Toys - Mancala (Folding Set)- Board Game

Bought this for husband and I to play on the beach in Aruba. Was fine. Glass pieces were good size. I took some extras with me from my craft box as there were no extras if any got lost. Wish it had a better carry case. We kept it in the cardboard box in my beach bag.

My kids love Mancala! Moving tokens through a loop of cups sounds easy, but not for me. Players that are good working with their hands tend to do better than players that are more thought centered. Good family game. If you lose the tokens, they are easily replaced at crafting stored.

Exactly what it says it is, a folding Mancala board. The jewels that come with it are brightly colored, durable plastic, not glass. What you would expect for the price.

I thought it was a great purchase. Some people said the stones were cheap looking and plastic. What do you expect for the price? And they don't look cheap to me they look like imitation stones. I'm very happy with my purchase.

As a caregiver, this game is perfect. easy to play and works fine motor skills. most clints don't like the fine motor activities. Since you play it with them, it increases their enjoyment. It also provides an opportunity to view hand coordination 1 on 1.

The rating is based on the low price I had paid which was less than what I pay for lunch. Overall, the bundle is great and makes for a fun addition to your game collection. The gems look great and can be easily replaced from a crafting store. The wooden board is sturdy and will withstand years of usage. My main complaint is that the board needs to be larger with bigger pockets to fit the stones. Gameplay is compromised because stones inevitably fall into the wrong pockets and we need to make periodic corrections in-game. So, if the board was appropriately sized, the flow of the game would be much more smooth. The instructions only document one version of how to play the game. It would've been nice if they printed other variations of the game though it's not a deal breaker because we can search online. All-in-all, despite the compromises, it's a decent starter set especially at the price. Players 8 years and above will enjoy this game. My little one taught my older one how to play. If I had anticipated the family would enjoy this one so much I would've invested more into a set with a larger board, however, I like that this one is compact for storage.

Cheap version of mancala that includes everything you need. The gems are standard plastic ones, the grooves are smooth so picking them up is easy, and the solid wood is nice. The one and only thing stopping this from being a full 5 stars is a latch mechanism when closing the board. If it had a latch or magnet to hold the board closed tight it would be much nicer. Without the latch, there is a chance the board can come loose drop all pieces inside.

I was a little disappointed because the board was a little cheap and the plastic end fell off as soon as I took it out of the box. I had one as a kid with colorful pebbles and a nice latch on the board to keep it closed, so this was a bit of a let down. There are only ugly brown or blue pebbles and you'll have to keep it in the box in order to keep it closed so the pebbles don't fall out. Overall not a bad buy if you're looking for a cheap version, but I was looking for something nicer so ended up returning it.

I bought this product for my children to have a game I played as a child. So I ordered the game and when it arrived. I was disappointed the gemstones were plastic pieces that look like smarties not the glass gemstones it specified on the picture and the description on the website.

The game itself no I do not recommend this item unless you really want to be picking out wood shavings from your hands the board because it's not sanded down. 4 year old toddler was crying because the game board hurt her! I get it it's a cheap set!! BUY ANOTHER SET
