We own several. Works GREAT for transporting for school sports team events! Several other moms have purchased after seeing ours. Also works great in campers where space is limited %26 a round/oval one doesn't fit as well. Seems to heat/work just as well as every other crock pot I've ever owned. No complaints!
This is an awesome, attractive, and handy cooking or warming device. Everyone was complimenting it. I cooked a green bean casserole in the inner pan that came with it in the oven and then took it out and put it into the crock pot and brought it in my car to the holiday lunch over an hour away. Nice and warm when we ate.
This slow cooker is excellent. It got a lot of compliments and I really like that I can carry it with one hand. It makes it perfect for office potlucks and tailgate parties. It is nice and sturdy and I like that you can write on it with an erasable pen (which is included). I was so happy with it, I purchased two of them.
It's so nice to have a square crockpot. It's so easy to transport %26 keeps food hot. We brought it to a beach trip that didn't have a microwave or stove. Lightweight and high quality. I like the write on feature and excellent idea for a pot luck to label what's in it!
Now I have only used once %26 not for cooking. My main reason for buying is for bringing food to holiday celebrations hot where the distance of travel is a little bit over an hour. It did it's job perfectly %26 kept the little bit of leftovers hot too. I was able to have the sauce %26 10 big breast in the slow cooker with no problem at all.
Bought this for the RV to use trackside at recess and outings. Did a test run at home before taking on the road. For those who think it doesn't get hot enough... I did the included Southwest Chicken Chili soup recipe and measured temps with a digital thermometer. True, it doesn't heat up quickly, that's because it used fairly low power (<250 watts). Still, the soup stabilized at 118 on warm, 152 in low, and 210 (boiling) on high. It is super convenient to use and clean. Well made item. And the chili was very good. Handy... Recommended especially if you find the round/oval ceramic versions a bit hard to handle when traveling.
I like the way it looks and that the lid seals anything and won't leak. It's nice to be able to attach a spoon while traveling.
It's great and to be able to cook food and take it to a family function or party is useful. But there's a couple weird things. Like there's no indicator light so the first time I used it I wasn't sure if the food was cooking and had to wait like 15 minutes to figure out if it was warming the food. And, there's no lock mechanism on the lid, other than the handle being up so you cook with the handle up. Not a problem just not how you would anticipate it to work Overall, it worked great. Kept the food warm and it's easy to travel with.
A really slow cooker as it takes forever to get to temperature. Max temperature is 205 deg F. Wattage should be higher to heat up faster. Lid design allows condensate to run into a tiny reservoir in back that needs to be emptied with every lid opening
We finally got to use this for the first time. When we turned it around to put the power cord back in, we found the back had shattered. How does that even happen?
