I have a beautiful violet female Indian Ringneck named Lily, and she is only about 9 or 10ish months old. This cheeseburger toy has QUICKLY become Lily's absolute favorite toy of all time! Surprisingly, it also lasts an incredibly long time; I expected this toy to be ripped up in a week, especially with the way my bird runs through toys — but somehow months down the line this toy has defied all odds, and half of it is still nearly intact, despite her constant playing with it. This toy is very reasonably priced, and if you have a bird that likes tearing up pieces of cardboard, tissue papers, etc. like mine does, then this will surely become your bird's favorite toy of all time! Indian ringnecks in particular love these sorts of toys. I also am very thankful that this toy comes with a bird-safe hook that locks, I have found this type of hook to be by far the safest for birds, because the bird toy hooks that don't lock and only require pushing in to open are easily manipulated and opened by birds, especially after they watch us hang their toys up and see us push the clip in to get it open and hook onto the cage — birds are incredibly intelligent, and it doesn't take most long at all to figure those clips out (especially after watching us open these hooks to hang these toys inside their cage!), after that it's only a matter of time before they try to manipulate and open the hook themselves using their beak, unfortunately, by then it's too late and the bird's beak and/or tongue can get stuck inside of those cheap metal clips — not only scaring them as they find themselves unable to get out of the hook, but if the hook becomes latched onto the bird's tongue, it can cut their tongue and seriously injure/harm them. I don't understand why any bird toys use those sorts of hooks in the first place, they are so dangerous and they are far from bird safe and can seriously injure your bird. I'm speaking from my own personal experiences with those tension hooks, I watched my poor Lily get her beak caught in one once, and thank god it only got caught on her beak and not her tongue, and thank god I was there and able to help her get beak out. It scared the bajeesus out of her, AND ME, and after that I immediately replaced all of the cheap and unsafe hooks with the bird-safe toy hooks that lock (much like the one that comes included with this toy!). They are so much safer, and birds aren't able to open the hooks themselves or get their beak or tongue caught on them. Honestly, those unsafe bird toys hooks shouldn't legally be allowed to be sold on bird toys — they're so dangerous %26 legit a disaster waiting to happen. Thankfully, the creator of this toy was smart enough to include the bird-safe hook that locks on this toy. If you have any other bird toys that use those other tension hooks without locks, I recommend ordering a pack of the bird-safe locking bird toy hooks, Walmart sells 10 packs of them, %26 you'll be saving your bird from the mistake Lily %26 I made.

very cheap my bird already torn half of this item up only in 1 day, but i order 2 of them , they both be in the recycle bin within 2 weeks

I bought this for my African Grey birds. I didn't realize it was only colored paper. I thought it was made of wood. African Greys would tear that up in seconds. It really should of been made of wood %26 very hard plastic. Disappointed ☹️..
