I feed the birds outside my house and when I put this out they go crazy for it. Bag is ziplock for freshness. They come in small pieces but you can break them into smaller pieces as well if you'd like. Love that it's made with real fruit and veggies. A healthy snack for all birds.
This version perfectly balances the praise for the product with a big "Attaboy" to Walmart for their seamless ordering and shipping process. It's professional, humorous, and clear. The "Longest Attaboy Ever Wrote": A Walmart %26 Wild Harvest Review To the folks at Wild Harvest and the team at Walmart: Attaboy (or Attagirl)! Good job, Sir or Ma'am. You've delivered a product that isn't just enjoyable; it's a genuine teaching tool when applied the right way. First off, let's talk about the experience with Walmart. Their customer service was outstanding and the shipping was incredibly quick. Their website is so intuitive and easy to follow—honestly, it's so easy a bird could probably navigate it. If you're looking for a smooth "click-to-door" experience, Walmart has it down to a science. Now, for the product itself: I'll be honest—it wasn't really to my liking, but my Indian Ringneck thinks it's the greatest invention since the crackers that Polly wanted! Jokes aside, bird ownership is a serious responsibility, and I want to be articulate for those who might be new to birds. I'm no vet or professional trainer; I'm just a guy doing what I feel is right. My philosophy is simple: if my bird doesn't like it, I don't like it. But since he loves this stuff? I love it. The packaging is where the real "Good Job" comes in. This isn't some piece-of-junk plastic sack from that company we won't mention. The bag is sturdy and the quality of the seal keeps everything at peak freshness. My only suggestion to Wild Harvest: Make a bigger bag! I have full confidence the freshness would hold up even in a bulk size. My bird learned the sound of this bag faster than he learned his own name. I use that "crinkle" as a motivator for his training, and now I have to be careful whenever I'm around plastic because he's associated that sound with a "W" (a win). He doesn't speak much English yet—well, he can, but he's just mimicking my words for now—so I'm speaking for him: this is a 5/5. Whether you have a Ringneck, Conure, or Cockatiel, this is the training aid you need. I bought this blindly online, and it was a win for me and a win for my bird. I apologize for the lengthy narrative, but facts are facts. Just print this off, pin it to the wall, and tell the team it's the longest "bad boy" review ever wrote. God bless, and I hope this helps the next bird owner. Sincerely, Matthew %26 Dallas Dallas ‘my bird' approved this message
It is winter and seasonal birds are looking for food. I put these treat bars at the end of my deck and I saw several birds coming over to fetch them. I bought more to put for the rest of the season. They smell fresh and have different seeds that attracts birds.
My bird loves these treats! I will be purchasing these as part of our routine. She is over the moon everytime she sees this bag. They are extremely affordable and has been added to my must have pet needs list!
Healthy Tropical Benefit turned out to be a great choice for both my indoor and outdoor birds. I put some of the bars outside for the wild birds, and even though it took a little patience waiting for them to come , they clearly enjoyed it once they did. I also gave some to my parrot and he loved it just as much. So it truly works just as the bag says ,,, for all types of birds. Each bar has a firm, grainy texture that holds together well but breaks off cleanly as the birds peck at it. No mess and no crumbling anywhere. The bag which is an insulated zip locked type has 18 bars clean and compact and easy to handle, just grab and place. It's a convenient, clean and bird approved food
I loved being offered this product as I have finches, parakeets, & parrots who visit my yard daily. We have a border out and adding this treat for them was so nice they loved it. They stuck around for awhile to see if there would be more but I'm breaking them up to make it last for a few days. More birds have come since we put this out-it's like they are telling their buddies. The packaging was great-wish I had more-and it actually smells good too. Thank you for the opportunity to review this.
I do not think these are good for parakeets. Maybe big birds yes. My parakeet tried to buy something off from it It did not work they're too hard for parakeet to get the seeds or anything off from them so I don't recommend them for a parakeet probably best for a parrot
The Wild Harvest Healthy Benefits Tropical Granola Crunch Bar treats for Birds look and smell very appealing. I can see the real fruit and oats within the bars. They are small enough for my parakeets to enjoy. I like that the packaging is resealable for freshness. I broke them into smaller pieces and placed inside their seed cups. My birds picked around these treats and would not eat them. I like that these have vital nutrients and protein for their diets.
This package is tiny. Just 27 grams — less than a full ounce — for 18 tiny little treat bars. Shopping in person I would have never bought it. But sizes are deceptive and our brains often do not compute how much or little of something we are buying unless we are physically seeing something up close. Quantity is not the only problem though. It's the ingredients: sweet potato, papaya, oats (the only seed), green beans, tapioca starch, vegetable glycerin, pineapple, vitamin E supplement, and then a list of artificial crap no one would willingly serve to a bird. I don't know about you, but as a person I would never eat those in the same meal and nor would any cockatiel I know. Cockatiels are, after all, granivores. Budgerigars (the only parrots I've seen eat oats) even more so. These are New World fruits and vegetables you would never find in the wilds of Australia or the South Pacific. Now I can see a conure or a macaw considering a sweet potato or a papaya as separate foods — but with green beans? Moreover these pieces are only an inch long. Too small for the birds most likely to consider eating them. Plus in an entire bar I saw one and only one oat seed in it; for all intense and purposes there are no seeds in any given piece. In summary, these crunch sticks are unappealing to my birds and sound equally terrible to me. Don't waste your money. Buy the traditional seed treat sticks we all know and love from pet stores.
my birds absolutely did not care about these treats, i dont know if its cuz of the type of birds that i have or what, i have a indian ringneck and a cockateil and wither of them wanted these treats. they like most stuff but not these unfortunatily
