Good value and birds love it
My lovebirds love this seed. it's given to them in addition to pellets and fresh food and they really enjoy it. There's never much leftover for sure. it's a good value for the money.

Amount of Seed Ingredients Has Changed
I have been buying this bird food from Walmart for quite a long time. I just had two bags delivered on March 22, 2026. The type and amount of seeds has changed a great deal. Most of the seeds are now those little, round, cream colored seeds (white proso millet). And I mean most of the seeds and my parakeet refuses to eat those. On the ingredients list there are many different seeds listed besides this form of millet, but these are few and far between in the bag. I'm very disappointed.

Formula changed, budgie refuses to eat it
Our budgie has eaten this her entire life, but our newest bag is almost a completely different formula. Our girl won't eat it. Thank God we have an extra bag to safely transition her to a new kind; budgies will literally starve themselves to death rather than eat something they don't like. Being a trusted brand in the bird business for so long, Pennington should know the dangers of abruptly changing a domesticated bird's diet. Yet they chose profit over birds. I've lost all trust in this brand and will never buy anything from them again.
