I liked the low profile lighting attachment and the quiet fan operation. The reversible blades let you choose white or the wood grain. Very pretty design.
You can tell while assembling and installing this fan that is a quality construction. Multiple rubber bushings and pads for quite operation. Longer pull chains than a standard fan which is a bonus. The only issue I had was the bolts that hold the fan blades to thr motor are pre-installed on the motor. The instructions don't tell you to remove them until the motor is on the cieling. You can save yourself some trouble by removing them before hand and putting them aside for that step.
So far, we are impressed! Just got the fan installed yesterday (not in time for recent unseasonably hot weather) so haven't really tried the fan much. But it seems to really move the air, which is what we were looking for. We have it in our bedroom. It replaced one that didn't have a light, so we are enjoying the light on this new one. It will come in handy, esp. during winter months and cloudy days when there isn't much sunlight. We think it looks good. We haven't had a hugger before, just have low profile ones in other rooms. Hope it lasts. Shipping was fast and got a good price.
went up easily, throws air very well and brightness is perfect - medium/bright. looks great too.
Nice fan....didn't put it together myself....had a contractor do it....just wish it had remote and the bulb included is pretty dim....I put in my kitchen but it's not bright enough.
We wanted a bigger fan, so this is a good price for a 52". Very pretty when up, we used the gray/taupe side blade. Comes with a light kit, that uses one LED bulb that is included. Just pay attention when installing mounting bracket, a little tricky, look at instructions closely, the 2 brackets puzzle together, easy when you get it!
The fan is a great bargain, and looks decent enough. My issue is that the motor screws were fastened so tightly, it was nearly impossible to remove them - which HAD to be done in order to attach the blades. There were a few things like this that turned a 30 minute job into a 2 hour job. My fingers and wrists are not happy, and I'm sure everyone on my street heard me screaming expletives well into the evening!
installed nicely until it was time to turn on the light. it woulent come on. took it all back down again...reinstalled. still not working. just now got around to installing it. waiting on someonw who knew what they were doing.
We have just installed this fan and added a remote control per the description details. Has anyone else tried adding a remote control to this fan, and how did it work? Any problems with the fan motor later? We have been informed by the manufacturer that the description details were in error and you CANNOT add a remote to this fan. They said it would negate the warranty and damage the motor. We actually did get a remote receiver installed in ours, and are wondering whether to continue trying to use it without a warranty, and whether it will damage the motor in some way that we don't understand. We are trying to decide whether to take it all down, return it, and take a loss on the remote we bought, or try continuing to use it as is. If this is true that the detail information was wrong, please remove it from the site before someone else is damaged by it.
Easy to install and quiet. Only problem is with first piece, the hanger. This fan is held to ceiling with two screws of the same size that holds the cover on your wall switch or outlet. Craziest thing I ever seen. I drilled two holes in the bracket and used lag bolts. It's not coming down. Other than that, this is a good looking fan with flip blades for different colors. Seems very stable too, even though the kit includes a balancing kit. Only reason I wouldn't recommend is the mount setup.
