Even though I haven't used it for a prolonged time, I can assure these work very well. I have been using other brands for many years so I have experience to realize this pruner is my best replacement so far compared to others I have used. It is sharp enough, ergonomic and easy to use for a woman in her 50s with small hands who prefers to prune her palm trees by my self. It performs well on small lowers branches on minor daily maintenance so I reserve it for the small task while I use another powerful bigger tool for the rest of the palms as needed every 3 months. I always clean with WD40 after every use all my garden tools to get it ready for my next use. A feature I love is the locking mechanism. It locks and unlocks as I desired for use and safety but never lock between cuts as other previous pruners which had locking mechanism that quickly got lock between cuts and it used to get frustrating to unlock. So this is a great pruner, trouble free, cut very well and I feel confortable using them. It comes with Lifetime warranty
The Fiskars Larger Softgrip Pruner worked great for removing an area of invasive ivy on my back fence! I have purchased Fiskars products in the past with fine results and this Softgrip Bypass Pruner did not disappoint! I was especially glad that I was able to clear this area of ivy so easily because at this time my dominate hand is injured so I wasn't sure I was going to be able to do it. Thanks to the sharpness of the Fiskars blade and the Softgrip feature it was easy! I expect in the coming weeks as time allows I wll be able to clear the entire fence with this Bypass Pruner by Fiskar.
Fiskars Larger Softgrip Bypass Pruner cuts really easy on branches. The handle is very sturdy, offering a large handle so you can move your grip as necessary. It cut the branches like butter. It was bigger than I thought which was great for my bigger branches. I usually have to use both my hands to grip the branches and cut, but this worked great with one hand! I would highly recommend!
Easy to use, well made, and cuts well! I really appreciated it! Makes gardening much easier and is def worth it!! It has great grip handles but also very sharp and curved blade. Cuts well, holds perfectly in the hand, and isn't heavy!
Fiskars larger soft grip bypass pruner is great. Has a comfortable grip, it doesn't slip. It's also easy to use. Cuts branches easily it doesn't get stuck.
This is a review for the fiskars larger softgrip bypass pruner. I use them today for over an hour love the larger softgrips. My hands are normally aching after a few minutes with other pruners I used in the past. I like how the locking button is on top not on the side like other pruners just squeeze together the handles and use your thumb to push the button to lock them closed. They worked well on vines and small branches I was removing from my chain linked fence. Overall great pruners was able to use them with ease. Will get another pair so my spouse can help me with the yard work. Also they are orange and black the picture include looks like they are yellow.
These high quality pruners will cut anything from a small stem to a fairly good size branch due to the leverage they can easily generate. And the handles are very comfortable to give a strong grip and assure the power is transmitted to the blades well. The blades are designed to self clear and not clog or drag and create friction during the cut. A sure and easy to use locking and unlocking mechanism for safe storage but instant use is appreciated. This is the finest pruner you will ever own and has a Lifetime Warranty.
These pruners have very comfortable grips and fit my hands well. The grips are nice and soft. They work great for smaller branches (say less than 3/4 inch) but have trouble with branches over an inch or so (for larger branches I'd recommend one of the ratcheting pruners). All in all these work great for use around the yard as long you know their limitations. Nice addition to the toolbox
I have been given this product to use and provide an honest non- biased review. Great pair of yard scissors. Very sturdy and firm. Has a very comfortable rubber grip for all size hands. They APPEAR to be very sharp, but when trying to prune some limbs, they could have been much sharper. They cut thru a medium size limb, but not as clean a cut as it would be had they been sharper. The shape of the blade is perfect for gripping around a branch. The lock is very secure. It's a nice size to carry in a utility pocket. I would recommend a pouch to store them in. Also quite handy for tearing into large bags of mulch or yard materials.
This pruner is a great buy, not only does it look good it feels good in the hand but it also does a very good job in cutting twigs and stems. I would recommend it to my friends and relatives as the pruner to get.
