Pure Balance Pro+ Sensitive Skin & Stomach Dog Food, Salmon & Rice Recipe, 8 lb Bag

We have a blue Pitt and they are notorious for allergies. Ours is no different. He literally had scratched a hole in his neck before we found this dogfood. He also would keep us up at night with stomach issues. That also went away. Along with his bad gas. This food is worth every penny. Only issue I have is the 30 lb bag is rarely in stock. I just placed an order and had to order 4 of the 16lb bags so I wouldn’t run out.

My girl has allergies so bad she was out here looking like she had a part‑time job shedding her own fur. Bald patches, itchy skin, stomach acting like it was auditioning for a soap opera — the whole mess. The ONLY foods that ever helped were Hill’s Science Diet and The Honest Kitchen… and listen, I love my dog, but those prices had ME breaking out in hives. Then this bag walked into our lives like, “Move. I got it.” Her hair literally grew back. Not “kind of,” not “maybe,” not “I think I see fuzz.” No — full, soft, shiny coat like she just came back from a spa retreat. Her stomach calmed down, her skin stopped throwing tantrums, and she finally eats without acting like I’m trying to poison her. The salmon smell is strong, but honestly? If it works, it works. And it WORKS. If your dog is sensitive, dramatic, allergic to life, or built like a walking vet bill, this food is a blessing. Affordable, effective, and actually respectful of your pet’s biology. I wish the fancy brands weren’t so expensive, but thank God this one stepped up — because my wallet and my dog both needed a win.

I have four dogs, three of them are German Shepherds. For 5 years, I have been struggling with my oldest German Shepherd constantly Itching and chewing his toes. His vet recommended apoquil and tons of expensive testing.. We had tried Victor, Diamond Naturals, Purina One, Fresh Food, none of it worked. When I ran out of food one day i ran to Walmart and picked this up to fill in for a couple of days. ON DAY TWO HE STOPPED ITCHING. What???!!!! We were shocked. He does the usual grooming for a couple of minutes, but nothing like it was. The dogs all love the taste of the food. The 8 lb bag does have smaller morsels than the 30 lb bag. Is it expensive ? yes. worth it? yes, and cheaper than expensive toxic pills.

Great dog food, my dogs get sick easy with a lot of dog food however this one they do great on it. I have a basset hound and German shorthair pointer they both like it. The quality is great on this product and would definitely recommend it. Really can’t beat this price for sensitive dog food.

My dog really enjoys this food and it seems gentle on her stomach, which is a big plus. I like that it’s made with salmon and rice, and I feel good about the ingredients. The only downside is the price — it’s a little high for my budget. My girl is 56 lbs, and ideally I’d like the 16 lb bag to last about two weeks, but it doesn’t quite stretch that far. Overall, it’s a solid choice for sensitive dogs, but I wish the bag size or price point worked out better for us.

My two dogs had opposite issues going on, both purebred Rotties. One had sensitivity/allergies to almost any food she ate and would loose so much hair. After a month on this food, she has lost no hair! My youngest had constant stomach issues with many different brands and ingredients. After only two weeks, her belly was normal for the first time and she started bulking up. They both seem so much happier, seem to really enjoy this food, and get extra excited to eat!

Find a food that doesn’t cause my staffy a rash and stomach problems has been a journey! We’ve tried different brands even the expensives ones everyone else recommends and nothing. This has been the best one he never breaks out anymore and his coat is fuller he stopped eating grass and throwing up.

Pure Balance has been the only food that my dog will eat without mix-ins or toppers. I love that is grain-free and has added vitamins and minerals and that the number one ingredient is salmon without any artificial flavors or colors. I like that the bite size pieces are large enough not to get stuck in my pitbulls teeth but small enough for small breeds like my cousins small dog that I often babysit. it also doesn't give my dog gas like other brands do.. I also researched when shopping on what brand was best for the value per unit price while also having good health benefits and Pure Balance was the best option for the value. I also like the packaging.

My dogs love this food and it helps one of my German Shepherd with his itching from allergies. The problem is I am always buying the 16 lb bag because the 30 lb bag is ALWAYS out of stock. Having two German Shepherds this is not cheap. Soon I will have to find another brand if the 30 lb bag does not become available consistently.

i have used pure balance dry kibble fir both of my dogs for close to a year. I switched to the pure balance pro sensitive skin because one of my dogs has allergies. HOWEVER, within days of feeding this both my German Shepherd and my Rottweiler became very ill. The rottweiler has severe diarrhea for over a week and some mild throwing up. My German Shepherd threw up for two days and stopped eating for three additional days. If i tried to put any of the dry kibble in his bowl, he refused to eat. I am not sure if this large bag has something in it, is bad or what the problem is, but my dogs both became deathly ill after eating it.
