Purina Cat Chow Naturals Chicken Flavor Dry Cat Food, 18 lb Bag

My husband and I have been married 15 years and have never had any less than 6 cats, once we got up to that many(about a year in). Our cats mostly stay indoors but have always had the choice😼. We have always feed our kitties and kittettes Purina Cat Chow Naturals, dry food, for indoor cats because it's affordable and makes their fur sooo very soft with minimal hairballs and stinky poos as a bonus. Our inside/outside cat Cotton's fur is so soft people from the neighborhood are always stopping by to pet him and take selfies 😻. The small kibble size is small enough for our smallest kitten Indy, 2 mos. old, despite having her own kitten food, wants to be like the big cats and eats their food(don't worry fatty Valentine eats hers). The small size kibble also is helpful for our oldest cat Chaos who's missing a couple of teeth. Our cats(I didn't name them all) have always preferred Purina Naturals dry food to most any other cat food even wet. Their favorite way to eat this dry food is soaking in tuna juice.Although it's rarely around long enough to get too soggy!😹🤣 chao, twoface, lollipop, cotton, Indy duo, whispers.... shut up I said no less than. And boo.

I like the fact that it has added vitamins and minerals. When you feed homeless cats as I do, it's important that some of their food have added vitamins. I know it's more expensive that regular dry cat food and I'm not wealthy, so what I do is to mix the Purina Cat Chow Naturals with the less expensive regular food like Purina Cat Chow Complete so that they are getting nutritious food. In addition, it has great taste because my own cats love it and seem to prefer it to other more expensive brands like Hills Science Diet. They actually go for this much more than the hoity toity cat food.

I like this brand, mainly because the ingredients lists chicken and salmon first in list of ingredients. So I assume it really does have real meat in the food.. My cats seem to like it, Now and then I sit down a bowl of another brand beside it. They still show a preference for the Purina. So I guess we stick with it.

We have multiple cats with wildly different opinions about food, and somehow this bag passed inspection with all of them. The kibble size is good, the smell is not overwhelming, and nobody staged a protest outside the food bowls. One cat acts like every meal is the greatest event in recorded history. Another eats exactly three bites, walks away dramatically, then returns later like nothing happened. This food seems to satisfy both management styles. 😄 Coats look healthy, stomachs seem fine, and the cats remain extremely judgmental, so I assume the product is working as intended.

A very sweet stray female cat adopted us😊 a year ago. After several weeks we realized she was expecting kittens. From her first meal of this cat chow she has loved it!! She delivered six healthy, adorable kittens and since they have been weaned , they love this food, too. It does not have an unpleasant smell like some cat food does. Very thankful for such a good food for our feline family.

Product is good and my cats seem to like it. It is only one standard kibble size and shape in the bag (not a variety of flavors/shapes). The kibble is small which is good for the small petite cat but still fine for my larger cat. They seem to like the flavor and eat it up every time. I have experienced a bag that I have opened and noticed the kibble had small holes in the pieces which I believe is to be from some sort of bug that infested the bag from storage. Not sure if this was an issue at the store but do not believe it was from the manufacturer. I do mix this food with a small amount of wet food to give it some more flavor so my cats enjoy it but they do eat it plain was well. Good product and serves my purpose which is a “full and happy cat”.

I have two Lorge™️ cats, and it takes about a month to go through this bag. Considering one is a picky eater and she won't touch a lot of wet food, this is a great way to know that she'll be well fed all the time. It's also a great value for a lot of food that will last a long time! Considering it also won't trigger my food allergies too is a double plus (land animal products, especially chicken, give me severe reactions)

I like that the cat food does not have all kinds of different shape. If it were a start, my cat breaks off all the little points and then refuses to eat the small pieces. I waste so much cat food with these other brands. She does it with this food too but not as much. I found that if I soften the small pieces in water and then mix in a spoonful of canned chicken, tuna, or salmon, she will eat it all up so I don't waste any of the food and it give my cat a little variety once a week or so.

your cost went from affordable to ridiculous practically overnight just because it lacks all the dyes in it that other foods have... i think you are taking advantage of the consumer when all you "dont" have to do is add all those useless colors... think about it... less steps cost more... i dont get it but i still wont feed my cats dyes so i guess you win 😿

Thank Goodness this catfood has no dyes added. It was the most economical WITHOUT UNNECESARY food colorings . It smells like meat, eventhough its mostly corn protein. I have 5 cats so I buy the 18 lb bags. Its a good source of nutrition for my cats.
