My dog has a chicken sensitivity. She was previously on the salmon and rice shredded blend formula. She was having some chronic soft stool and I could not figure out why until I noticed that there was chicken in that formula, albeit maybe just a very minuscule amount. I switched to this and almost immediately everything firmed up and she's been great on it since.
For awhile when I first got my mini Aussie doodle, she would randomly throw up. We knew she would have car sickness, but outside of being in the car she just often felt nauseous. I found out she was allergic to chicken and removed it from her diet completely. Purina Pro Plan, sensitive skin and stomach was one of the few dog food brands we found that 1) didn't contain chicken and 2) met all the nutritional needs of my dog. Although overall I wish it were cheaper, Highly highly recommend.
My dogs love it and it keeps their coat nice and shiny. I could use the kibble like treats. My dogs also have very sensitive skin and they rarely have any issues now.
2 dogs, 9yr old husky and 5yr old great pyrenees. They like the bowl clean. Great, shiny coats, very healthy pups. Best price I could find in my area.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We have a Great Dane at home with atopic dermatitis and this diet has really helped improve the quality of his coat. He also absolutely loves the taste of it!
I have tried many foods over the years with different pets, and they all developed various issues. My Veterinarian suggested ProPlan diets, and each pet always improved no matter the issue, so now I only feed Purina ProPlan diets!
My dog was trying to get into the package before we got it in the house. We gave her a scoop of it for her supper and she wolfed it down. She never does that for dog food, only table food.
Love purina pro for my Rottweiler puppy, he was on large breed puppy food from day 1-I researched %26 drove myself nuts over all the dog foods out there - and made my own decisions based upon proof from 2 well known breeders that exclusively use purina for 20. Large breed dogs have different needs and Rotties are prone to so many things. Recently changed to adult food as he is 20 months he absolutely loves this one %26 no stomach issues - gobbles it right up - I had tried another flavor in the purina pro line and learned a $77 lesson. This one he loves %26 I am able to donate the other bag which is a win win
I use this food for all 3 of my dogs and they all love it! One of my dogs has food sensitivities and this is a great quality option for her that allows me to feed all my dogs the same diet for simplicity. All my dogs have beautiful smooth coats, it is easily digestible and my two senior girls are thriving.
This dog food seems to be good so far! We are trying it as it is supposed to be comparable to a very expensive brand from the veterinarians. So far, the dog loves it (I don't think he is the best judge though as he eats things he shouldn't). Hopefully, he continues to love it and it will make a difference with a possible stomach sensitivity.
