Purina Start & Grow Non-Medicated Chick Feed Crumbles, Chick Starter Feed, Baby Chick Food, 25 lbs

After much research, gaining greater understanding, studying, and of course experience... Putin’s feeds are by far superior to any other product on the market. While my birds and I have done well with my learning curve, this years brooder batch of 30 day old chicks proved to visibly grow healthy and strong ... vibrant and feisty personalities, not a dull feather, clear and shiny eyes... and no incident of “pasty butt”. I follow the nutritionists advisement...and love any live feeds or articles featuring chicken nutrition. I use all Putin’s feed products. My older birds are molting and we switched them from Layena to flock raiser temporarily; and their new feathers are coming in beautifully with minimal reduction to egg production. We have decided to try our hand at meat birds and ordered the appropriate Putin’s feed. I ordered the hen treats (just for me of course). Following Purina’s knowledge and research in my birds nutrition has been the best decision I’ve made for the health and wellness of my very happy flock!!

I had been feeding another brand for years and the store was out of it. I tried the purina layer pellets. The price was higher than my normal brand but well worth it. I have regular and silkie chickens,the pellets are the perfect size for both. And I can fill their food container and they are satisfied and food is left. I started a new batch of chicks on an off brand that was given to me with the chicks. I went 5 days later and purchased start and grow and the difference in 48 hours was noticed by a family member. They actually said wow you change something the chicks look better!

I use this for my chicks. They grow healthy and strong. Great formula. I raise some fragile bantam breeds and this gives them a good start! Thanks Purina!❤️

I want to know why can’t you make crumbles bigger. I’m tired of paying for this product and getting mostly dust which the chicks can’t and won’t eat. What a waste of my money!

Picked up everything we needed for our chicks ahead of time because of impending winter storms. Chicks started hatching. We set up the brooder. Opened the bag of Purina Start & Grow to fill the feeder and found it infested with bugs. Back to our original feed. No more purina.

Nothing but complete sawdust inside the bag. So bad, it caused respiratory issues with my birds. They should pull this formula off the shelves until they can actually start thinking of the animals first before profit. Will never recommend and will never buy again. All their animal food is highly processed GMO junk.!
