Purina Tidy Cats Free and Clean Clumping Cat Litter, Unscented, 20 lb Jug

I find many other brands of cat litter have too strong a smell - especially recently. They have the GAIN smell set to 11. So I decided to try this UNSCENTED cat litter and I just LOVE IT. It does the same job and clumps as well as others and I don't have that overpowering scent throughout the house. If you find the scent a little too strong, I highly recommend you try this.

I have always used Tidy cat products my whole cat filled life! I like all the products. You get exactly what is advertised. I use both scented and unscented. The clumping is good, doesn’t stick to their feet, and has caused no respiratory problems for these 16 and 11 year old Bengals.

I accidentally ordered with glade scent once and I don’t like scented because of my copd reaction. Not sure why companies add glade or whatever to add more smells just like they do with garbage bags. Its poop! Kind of like putting perfume on a stinky body or adding deodorant to a stinky body or armpits, It’s not even baking soda they add which literally helps. Quite pleased with the unscented, thank you for that. Too many smells in a house doesn’t seem healthy. Keep the glade or added scents out of litter box and just clean house and/or buy a candle that glade sells. Change litter box more often.

I have found this litter to be better clumping than others. When a wet clump is stuck to the side, as it often is because my cats like to go in a certain area of the boxes, if I bounce the box on the floor most of the clump comes off the side. There is so much less dust than other brands, and the minimal tracking is granules rather than wet mud. I like having no scent. Others with a scent were overpowering and like red flags that litter is in the house. The Free and Clean does a good job with hiding odors in my small place. I don't like the heavy container but it's worth the weight for a product that works for me.

This is the only brand and style of cat litter we have bought in over a decade. I do buy the bags of it when I can find it, but only because they are easier to maneuver and dispose of, but otherwise the litter is the same. It is almost not dusty at all, the cats don't itch and scratch from it, and it does it's job, VERY WELL.

Its the only one my cats will use. If I use anything with a scent, they will choose to go somewhere else in the house. The odor control is great - even if we are gone for a few days I don't notice it when we return (and the person that stops by to feed the cats does not do catboxes).

Switched from Arm %26 Hammer after being with them for decades. They changed their formula and it was barely even clumping anymore. But now I'm actually glad because the Tidy Cat is way superior in smell control. I have 2 cats and although I flush the poo as soon as I know they've done one I just put the pee clumps in a grocery bag that I have inside a small trash can. I only take it out the the dumpster about every 8 or 9 days, and I only do that because the bag gets full. It doesn't smell at all and neither does the litter box. I didn't know anybody made cat litter that didn't stink after a few days. This is great.

Between my allergy to perfumes and a cat's sense of smell being almost 15X better than a human's unscented litter is a must. This stuff is truly scent free unlike some other supposedly unscented kitty litters. It must be good at absorbing odors as I never smell urine. I do however, scoop multiple times a day. Pumpkin dislikes a dirty box. As for being dust free, it is. When I pour it into the litterbox and there's absolutely no dust filtering into the air. I can't really comment on the tracking as I have a litterbox with 12" sides and my guy jumps over the side to exit instead of walking out the lower entrance. He also digs and throws the stuff out of the box so I end up having to vacuum the area daily.

Terribly heavy, but the lightweight litter is perhaps the dustiest of any litter I've ever used. This is better, but not by much. Does not clump well, quickly resulting in a nasty litterbox. Moderate odor control; not great, but I've seen worse. Expensive, but again, I've seen worse. I only use this because I can't afford Pretty Litter.

The Tidy Cat litter (presently unscented) has been a main stay in our now 3 geriatric cat home for many years. It absorbs well (why it got 2 stars) BUT recently the litter sticks like glue to the bottom of the pans (even bought new pans) and it goes everywhere with cat usage. So something has DEFINITELY CHANGED. Are they trying to get us to buy their Tidy Feet? It is not an option for our household due to cost. Like several others online complaining of these issues, we will have to change brands. Unhappy.
