This is great for people in a hurry. It is as easy as making a cup of noodle. Add water to the line, stir and microwave for 45-50 seconds. After, stir again and wait 2 minutes. Very fast. I found this great for just grabbing one if I am late and making it at work. The amount is just enough to tide me over until lunch time. Also good for a quick snack. I found it a little on the sweet side but would be very appealing to kids. Has 12 g. of sugar about the same as a bowl of dry cereal. It comes in four different varieties. Apple and Cinnamon, Apple and Cranberries, Maple and Brown Sugar, and Honey and Almonds. There are actual pieces of apple and cranberries in the oatmeal.
A great product for a quick and easy breakfast. This could not be easier to use. Open, add water and microwave. Stir, let rest and enjoy. Quaker offers a variety of flavors is is wonderful. Great flavor also. After enjoying the oatmeal and not getting a bowl dirty the container is totally recyclable. The label tears off so both pieces can be recycled, very clever indeed. This product is a must for busy mornings.
These are great to have at work and home. I'm the type of person who gets up, showers, and jumps in the car for work. I don't have time for breakfast at my house so when I get to work I just grab one of theses out of my desk go into our break area add hot water stir and in a couple of minutes I'm having a wonderful breakfast. I tried the variety pack so I can change it up. I love all four flavors. The price is less than two dollars a day for a good healthy breakfast.
Quaker Instant Oatmeal Express Cups, Variety Pack were so easy and fast in the mornings to make. I really like having these for breakfast. All 4 flavors were very yummy. My husand used the Quaker Instant Oatmeal Express Cups, Variety Pack also and he really likes them also. Looks like I have a new item too add to my shopping list.
I really enjoyed this variety pack of oatmeal. The little cups are easy to pop in the microwave, grab, and go. This was my first time trying the honey & almonds flavor and the apples & cranberry flavor and they are now my favorites! These are also perfect to send to my husband while he's deployed!
Thank you Quaker Oats for coming up with these wonderfully convenient Quaker Instant Oatmeal Express Cups filled with deliciousness! I have eaten Quaker Oats since I was little and have always loved oatmeal. Now my kids eat it too, and these packs make it so easier. I am one of those moms-on-a-go who's morning is filled with getting kids ready for preschool, and husband and myself off to work. These cups are so convenient for fast-paced mornings. Just remove the lid, add water, stir, microwave, stir, and enjoy when cooled! The packs come in all our favorite flavors! They come in: Apples & Cranberries, Maple & Brown Sugar, Honey & Almonds and Apples & Cinnamon. Not only are they delicious, but they are healthy too with protein and fiber. i know when my family is busy, that this is the perfect choice of breakfast for them. Even on the quiet days.
I usually eat original Quaker Oats oatmeal (which has the bigger oats and for me, is tastier and has fibrous consistency I'm accustomed to.) But if you don't have enough time to cook the original oats on the stove, then these instant oats cups are the way to go. The instructions state you can pour water into the cup then microwave; I prefer to pour boiling water into the cup, stir, then wait 5 minutes to eat. The longer it sits, the thicker it becomes (and of course, the cooler it gets.) The maple & brown sugar has a tad salty taste, but still has the sweetness I like. My grandsons like the Apple and cinnamon flavored oatmeal. Just the right size for a quick breakfast. I can see these will be great car-camping grub! Also for backpacking (just insure you pack out the cup.) Very light weight for backpacking (which I intend to use these for!) I've seen these at hotel breakfast buffets but it's is the first time to taste them. Great breakfast or hot snack item!
This is my first time trying instant breakfast oatmeal. I was always skeptical about how its quality would compare to the regular oatmeal. I tried four (4) different flavors in the twelve cup variety pack; maple and brown sugar, apple cinnamon, apple cranberry, & honey almond. Each of the flavors was very pleasant. Of course, the consistency/texture of the finished product was different from the traditional. When adding water exactly as directed, the consistency was thin and very wet. Every time I microwaved a cup, I tried using a little bit less water to try for a more substantial consistency. Some people like their oatmeal on the “thin side”. I am just not one of those people. The fourth reduction in water helped the texture and ‘mouth feel' end up being more pleasing to me. My pictures show the consistency with the fourth reduction in added water. These cups are very convenient to have on hand, if your mornings tend to be rushed and you want to make sure not to miss breakfast. The varieties serve to avoid the feeling that you are eating the same thing day after day. They are not too sweet, so consuming too much sugar is not a concern. Now that I am more familiar with how much water best suits my preference, these cups would be great pantry items to keep around.
The honey almond flavor of this oatmeal was surprisingly good. I do not usually like oatmeal, I generally find it oversweet with a hard to stomach texture but this was different. I like this oatmeal flavor, I cooked it both in the microwave and by boiling water and letting it steep. With both cooking methods I was pleased with the outcome. The nuts stayed crunchy giving a pleasent texture to the oatmeal mixing crunchy and soft, the oats didnt disinigrate they held their form well making the texture of the oats pleasent. This oatmeal was delicious. The flavor was very good and not overly sweet. I would buy this product for easy on the go breakfast. I was able to prepare the oatmeal and take it with me to eat once i got to work when i was running late. it fit perfectly in my cupholder so i didn't even have to worry about it spilling. I was surprised that a small cup of oatmeal could fil me up in the morning and kept me full through my workday up to lunch time. The apple cranberry flavor of this oatmeal was also quite good and is something that I would purchase for quick on the go breakfast. Even after cooking the apples were still crispand the cranberries didnt get mushy as I expected them to after making the oatmeal. This flavor was a little on the sweet side but it wasnt overly sweet to the point that I couldnt enjoy it. The texture of this oatmeal was very nice. The oats held their form and the addition of the apples and cranberries added a crisp and chewy texture to the mix that made this oatmeal easy for me to eat given that I generally do not like oatmeal due to the texture. There were enough apples and cranberries in the cup to mix generously into the oats. I was able to get either apple, vranberry, and even both in almost every bite. The apple cinnamon was a little over powering. Even after cooking the oat meal the "granny smith," apple flavor was so potent it almost tasted like the apple alcohol flavoring used in a lot of drinks. It was GOOD but I would def. put these aside as a last resort to eat if I bought the multi pack of these. There's plenty of apple pieces in this though, so that's good for people who DO like the apple taste. The Maple and brown sugar oatmeals are my favorite next to the honey and almond one! It's very sweet, but isn't TOO sweet. You can def. taste the flavoring in the oatmeal and it makes it very pleasant!
Overall, I was very pleased with the Quaker oatmeal variety pack of cups. There were 4 varieties and 3 of each flavor. I personally don't like all of the flavors, but it's great to have that variety to be able to try out different flavors without having an entire box of one flavor, and to be able to share within your household. They are very easy to prepare – I just had to put water to the fill line and then microwave. They cooked fine in the microwave for me – which made for a very fast prepared breakfast! The amount of oatmeal in the cup was a perfect size. I've bought Quaker for years and the quality is just as great as their other products. Each cup is full of flavor. The only bad thing is that when it's cooked in the microwave, it seems a little bit more soggy than if you make it with a packet – but even then, the flavor was still the same, and it was cooked just the way I like it. I would highly recommend this variety pack if you want to try new flavors, or want to share it with others in your household, as it contains a lot of oatmeal and variety!
