This trike is incredibly sturdy. Glad they still make durable products that won't end up in a landfill. It can be passed on to the next sibling, cousin or neighbor.
Even though I had to rate the durability, I do not know why that question is there. I will not know for a while. I read some of the negative reviews on this tricycle. I do not understand why they complained. Granted there are some people that should not try to assemble some things. It went together very easily. My 3 year old grandson has no problems riding it. I think some people want Mercedes quality on a Yugo price. I have been fabricating metal things for years, the fabrication and quality is on par with the price. Nothing wrong with the paint job, at least with the one I received. I have an advantage that if something breaks down the line I can repair it and it will never look like it was broken. I would probably improve on what had broken. Gets a thumbs up from me.
This is the real deal! A classic metal tricycle that is like the one that was handed down to me from my siblings so many years ago! There was 7 of us so it went through a lot of adventures! This is for my grandson. He is growing into it, at 10 months old he can't reach the pedals yet, but he can hold on as we push him around and he can ring the bell! This is well made and easy to put together with a couple of tools. A great trike!
Bought the Radio Flyer Classic Red 10" Tricycle for my 3yr-old. He rides it all day long. Easy assembly within 20 minutes. The rear axle needed a shot of WD-40 because it sounded a bit squeaky - a little friction, is all, no biggie. I saw 1 or 2 complaints about the bell; it isn't designed like the original and it makes a different sound, but my 3yr-old likes it just fine and has no trouble making it *ding*. Sturdy parts, brilliant colors, and you have to appreciate the sure grip of rubber tires.
My granddaughter won't ride it yet but has started pushing it and pulling it. I know she will love it when she can pedal it. It is just like the one her MOTHER rode 30 years ago. I am pleased with the quality and she likes ringing the bell.
i have more of a question than a review, my daughter is about to turn 4 in a couple of weeks, she's tall for her age at 3'5, she isn't to tall for this trike is she?
Very pleased with this trike. All parts are quality steel construction and nicely finished. The chrome front fender is a nice touch. Shipping was fast and arrived one day earlier that quoted. I would have given this 5 stars if it weren't for the bell. The flicking mechanism is really lame and the "ring" is is more like a "clink" and barely audible. I thought about characterizing it as "Mickey Mouse", but that would be over-rating it :) This would still be a good value without the bell. I plan to replace it with a real one.
I liked the sturdy material, however what good are the parts if they don't fit together properly? The whole thing wiggles, especially the handle bars. I thought it was unsafe for my son so I sent it back. This was upsetting for him. Extremely disappointed, especially considering the price.
Was very disappointed that the product we received was a used one! What's even more upsetting is that when my 2 yr old saw the bike at our front door, she is super excited at the fact that she got a new bike, only to make her cry since we have to return it due to the condition it came in "part of the tools are in a ziplock bag! dirty wheels, scratched chairs and parts". When a consumer purchases a product online specially for a child, I hope Walmart takes into consideration to send paying clients new ones. I would have understand it if there's a label that says its a used bike!
I returned the tricycle that was for my Grandson's birthday. It arrived in a small box of dozens of pieces, so we could be build it like a lego set. Not as advertised!!
