Kroger has a store brand arrabbiata sauce that I tried and was blown away, truly changed the way I looked at jarred pasta sauce. I HAD to have it again. When I saw that this brand was nearly twice as expensive, I balked at the price. But I knew if I went with a cheaper sauce, I would be so disappointed I would feel like it was a waste of money to have even bothered buying it. So, I splurged on Rao's, and as much as it pained me to admit, it really was worth every penny. I'm ruined on any other jarred pasta sauce. It's just better than any pasta sauce I've ever had.
This sauce is the real deal. The sauce is mildly spicy -- very flavorful -- and it has that "old world" authentic richness. If you're making meatball sandwiches -- this is the sauce to use!
Excellent. Great spiciness. No sugar. No seed oils. No garbage. Yes it costs more but you’re buying QUALITY. Fantastic flavor. A little goes a long way. I just heat %26 serve or add to dishes. Perfectly spiced %26 ready to go. Never experienced any jar sauce like this. Rao’s is my Italian grandmother I never had. I love ❤️ you grandma!
My daughter refuses to spend 7 or 8 dollars for a jar of sauce. When you look at all the other sauces that are available for half the cost, the first ingredient in all of them is water. Not so with Rayo sauce. There is no added water - you're getting what you're pay for! The taste and texture my Italian grandmothers recipe.
I always keep a jar of this on hand. It is fantastic with spagetti and meatballs, lasagna, and tortellini. It does have a bit of spice/heat, so be warned. The flavor is out of this world! I always simmer it for a while to thicken it up a bit and don't have to doctor it up at all. LOVE this sauce!
For those who enjoy bold and fiery flavors, Rao’s Arrabiatta Sauce is a standout choice. This sauce combines the richness of ripe tomatoes with a carefully balanced blend of garlic, onions, and a medley of fiery red chili peppers. The result is a vibrant, spicy kick that awakens the taste buds without overwhelming them. Each spoonful adds depth and intensity to your meal, transforming simple pasta, grilled vegetables, or even homemade pizza into a gourmet experience. The heat lingers pleasantly, complementing rather than overshadowing the natural flavors of the ingredients, making every bite memorable and satisfying.
These are great your power boil them, put them in your air fryer or on a baking sheet and roast them up with onions and garlic, chopped them in half fry them up for breakfast potatoes delicious, and creamy
Superb tomato sauce! Rich in flavor, thick enough to cling to your pasta, but not too thick, I cannot find anything wrong with this delicious sauce. Not cheap, but worth the money! Spicy, chunky, beautiful texture.
I like a spicy Arrabbiata. This is not. I like Rao's because it has good ingredients and the flavor is good but I have noticed that there is not much difference in flavor between the different types. For example, the garlic tomato sauce has almost no garlic flavor. So I recommend Rao's based on ingredients and good overall flavor but I have had much better arrabbiata sauce and garlic sauce. If the label says basil tomato, then I want to be able to taste the basil.
My personal opinion is that this sauce could certainly be a little spicier. To be honest I didn't really detect any chili flavor. If you say you put chilies in something then actually put chilies in it. You don't have to blow someone's palate out but some heat would be nice.
