It works

William August 3, 2020

Rats are smart. Ours didn't trip snap traps and didn't go into smaller, tunnel-type traps. But between the more open design of the Zapper and encouragement (leaving bits of food outside the unarmed trap for a night, then food leading into the armed trap the next), it got zapped.

Best humane trap on the market

Mark December 18, 2023

These traps are the best on the market, bar none. Always a quick clean kill with no mess. No need to worry about poisons or exploding mice from a snap trap. It works on all sizes of rodents from field mice to city rats. My only complaints would be, they go through the D batteries quite a bit (rechargeable would be nice) and they aren't weather proof. I've tried to use them outside my garage in plastic containers to protect them - didn't work. Moisture always shorts them out. Overall they are well worth the steep price.

Eliminated All The Mice.

DarkWinterSoldier October 8, 2022

This item worked amazingly. I placed a dab peanut butter inside and the zapper eliminated all of the mice that infiltrated my residence within a few days. I enjoyed listening to the the annoying little pest getting electrocuted. Get yourself some extended type of forceps to remove the dead critters that get stuck on the peanut butter. Lolz 😂

The only thing I dont like is the fact that you can't open the top of the trap to bait it. You have to use something almost a foot long to reach in and bait it. However, it works effectively. I knew I had a rat in a shed, put the trap out one afternoon and checked it the next. I had my rat. I removed the rat and put the trap back without even having to re-bait. Two days later, I caught a mouse.

Excellent Traps

John August 25, 2020

These work great if place in rodent high traffic areas and are cleaned after each kill to eliminate any urine that might short out the unit. I have used these for many years and this order was for my tenants who were experiencing a rat problem because they leave the back door of the house open for their small dog. After two weeks and several kills the tenants are reporting no more rat problem. Many years ago I trapped a small skunk in one of these traps and it did not even have time to let out a stink. Great traps and last for dozens of kills as long as you wipe them out with a damp paper towel of scrub with a toothbrush if they are dirty (after removing the batteries of course). You do not have to even use bait in these if they are set in the right place, but if you do, use dry dog food.

This trap is effective at killing. the electronics can't be separated from the body and it should not be immersed, so cleaning is difficult. It is also difficult to bait because of limited access to the back of the trap and there is no detachable "bait cup". The carcass of the rat is very easy to deal as there is no blood to clean up. All in all I'm happy with it.

This product only worked one time I tried everything it definitely is a good company I have three other products electric shockers for rats and mice which is more humane than a trap if you have to kill them this instant death this one product is big enough for my tree rats or roof rats they call them they are climbers put a little tip of peanut butter and they die instantly but this product doesn't work and d batteries are expensive to buy these days I don't think you should buy this product until they work out the problems with it I tried everything to get it to work again I read the whole instruction online anyways the company is a good company to buy from and they have good products they are taking this back for me so I hate to give them a bad rate but there are similar reviews that have the same problems I have had so be careful if you buy this one they sale a smaller version. For rats but big rats wil use the small one too so I guess it doesn't matter I didn't think they could fit but they did I wish I took a picture of it and posted it I hate killing animals but once they come in your domain you really don't have a choice and eating time with all natural products that don't work for long is a waste of time I know speaking from experience Victor sales what you need don't call pest control just buy what you need online through this company they will not rip you off anyways this is my opinion

My bad experience using rat zapper.

Jpetra March 24, 2021

Easy to use. I installed brand new batteries. Used two nights. Rats goes in and escaped. I saw light in the night and sound signal of trap, but no results. Maybe not enough power for killing the rat. Rats are still alive and walking in my garden eating oranges. t was my bad experience i decided to return this item. Maybe others customers are more lucky. Thank you for reading review. Good luck.

battery cover has no protection

Maggy621 August 5, 2021

It does donits job as far as trapping mice... HOWEVER, the trap has a battery/lid cover that has no security lock... therefore, when you are emptying the trap...if u don't put your hands on the battery cover...the batteries will end up falling right out along with the mouse...it is also made of a lesser quality plastic material than the anterior version..They need to at least make the battery cover with small screws so that this episode can be avoided
