Excellent clean protein without any chemicals. It's so refreshing to actually finally find some whey protein that doesn't have all the chemicals in it the other ones do aspartame and others.
Protein mixes well with liquid. Not to sweet. Good flavor. I use a scoop in my coffee each morning. I mix with small coffee mixer. I like the product.
I was very happy with the taste, texture and flavor of this isolate protein powder. A fear that I have when trying new products (especially protein supplements) is the texture and flavor. This product is high quality and has a great per serving price point. I appreciate the rich dark chocolate flavor. The only small disappointment is the label (I know, I'm being nit-picky); the label keeps lifting from the vertical edges and keeps getting stuck to other items in my cabinet. Sure, I could take it off, but I shouldn't have to. This was present on all the jars that were on the shelf at Sam's Club, so this appears to be a packaging quality issue rather than an isolated issue.
I always get a few of these when they are on sale, because of the excellent value and because we go through it rather quickly. It is excellent for smoothies and anywhere else you want some extra protein. It's a nice consistency and blends well. There is no added sugar, and a whooping 25g of protein per scoop.
For protein power I usually get the optimum nutrition brand of protein powder since it was the best for the price, but then I found this one at my local sam's club. While I will admit to not feeling any real difference physcially between using the two (I mean, whey protein is whey protein), but I will admit a BIG difference in flavor. The protein powders I used before had a hint of the flavor they mention on the label, but this one ACTUALLY has the flavor they say it does. Now my protein shakes taste chocolatey without having to add any other chocolate flavors or syrups. This fact, along with a good price, will keep me buying this protein powder.
I usually bring a protein shake with me to the gym. That way I can have it after training. On one or two occasions. I may have forgotten my shake, and intern had to purchase one at the gym. I always buy another brand from Sam's Club. The gym I go to didn't carry it. That left me the only other option, and try something new. My gym had Raw rtds. I gave it a shot and absolutely loved it! On my next visit to Sam's Club. To my surprise was RAW protein. It was an obvious sign. I filled my cart with a few cases of RTD's and a 2lb container of Raw Protein Powder. The taste is amazing and so are the Macros. Sam's is my go to for gains!!!!!!
For a morning protein drink, this tastes good. I mix it in milk with a blender. Don't care for the giant container which can be hard to grab. And it's only fill about halfway. So much for caring about the environment. Just downsize the container and pass the savings on to your customers.
Taste is okay. Does not mix well with milk. Mixing with water in a shaker bottle is better but not perfect. Reason I picked this over Gold Standard was because it does not have Maltodextrin in the ingredients.
Flavor could be a little stronger. Tastes like watered down chocolate milk. Being protein powder its obviously going to be a bit chalky but even with a single scoop, its hard to finish it due to the texture. Also has over 200 calories a scoop. I feel that better options are available when compared.
Unfortunately, some of the ingredients contained within this isolate protein consistently triggered, episodic migraines for me. However, if you research this product you'll find it's actually very good and for those who are not sensitive or is not a trigger for some of the ingredients than this is actually a great protein powder. Buy great, I mean, third-party tested so you're actually getting what you pay for, and the price per gram is a good deal.
