Rayovac batteries are highly recommended for hearing aids. They work vork very well. The only issue might be a regulatory issue. It is very difficult for an elderly person to remove the batteries from the packaging. Otherwise my mother is very happy with the battery.
the package I received was "child proof". that is not what I ordered. I cannot open the package. It is too difficult for old, arthritic fingers.. It will not open with regular scissors; had to get tin snips to cut it open. Please make sure the package delivered in the regular easy open style. The product is excellent.
The new packaging is absolutely RIDICULOUS... Almost impossible to open unless you carry scissors with you. Very hard to cut it open... My grandma has hearing aids and arthritis in her hands. She can't open them and she has no kids in the house... The batteries themselves are great! I'm just tired of nearly cutting off my fingers while opening the packaging.
i do not like the new packaging. Its too hard to get the batteries and theres nothing to put them in. i liked the little container. Why can't you package both ways. then the peaple who need the one with child protection can buy that one. and for me i dont have little ones around and its reall y hard to open.. sincerely sandy
Not a fan of the new packaging. These are button zinc air batteries. Tiny wee batteries you must cut out like pizza and not lose a finger. Not really a danger like Lithium coin batteries to children.
The new packaging is not only child proof but adult proof I was in Walgreens. My hearing aid batteries had died. I forgot to bring them with me. I purchased these new child proof packaging three adults in the store with a pair of scissors could not get the hearing aid batteries out. I understand cutting it open, but there wasn't even a way to get the hearing aid batteries out. Don't buy it super frustrating. No way to keep them with you. I can't believe this is a good thing. 90% of the people are adult using this don't make us suffer, especially the elderly. I won't be buying this again until it changes.
Terrible new packaging and many batteries do not work. The ones that did only works after leaving out fir over 5 minutes after peeling the tab. Used to be the best but this is the 3rd batch from 2 different stores that have been like this.
This "childproof" packaging is ridiculous. It's everyone-proof. Forget keeping a wheel in a pocket or bag to change on the go. You have to mutilate the packaging with scissors, and that isn't easy!
DO NOT BUY! PACKAGING DANGEROUS. YOU WILL RUIN YOUR SCISSORS and CUT YOUR FINGER. I am shocked they could not come up with a better child-resistant package. I WILL NEVER BUY AGAIN!
I've used Rayovac batteries for years, but the new "childproof" packaging is also "elderproof" and not worth my time or energy. Buyers, beware, each battery is sandwiched between a hard plastic that requires you to cut around each individual battery with sharp scissors or an exacto knife. Now looking for another brand without the childproof packaging.
