The assembly out of the bot was fairly easy and no additional tools were required. This thing is kinda sweet perfect gift for a child's birthday. You need a good flat surface and a helmet but super cool toy.
I needed a tricycle for the older grandkids and this was the only one I could find that would fit them. It is perfect for the 5 through 8 year olds. It drifts like crazy and you will find yourself wishing that you could try it out. It's sturdy and it seems like it will last.
My 9 year old granddaughter rides her Razor every chance she gets. It is well built and easy to assemble. And it is a good fit for her age and size. The 360 turning capability really adds a lot to her enjoyment of riding. I do wish it came with a safety flag and pole that fits this design. Having a hard time finding that accessory.
We bought 2 of these for our girls for Christmas, ages 2 and 4, and both of them are able to use them in different ways. The distance from the handles and peddles to the seat is perfect for the 4 year old but a bit too far for the 2. That said, the 2 year old still enjoys propelling the bike around with her feet on the ground or having someone else pull/push her. The bike glides effortlessly and spins when the kids use their weight to direct it. It is a nicely controlled spin, fun, not frighteningly out of control which is great for younger users. Even our nearly 8 year old son has a blast on it. Great buy for lots of fun.
Each of my two children have the Razor RipRider..One in blue and one in pink. They absolutely love them and have soo much fun riding them. My son has had his for over a year and it still is in great condition. My daughter just got hers, hopefully it will hold up just as well.
My "almost 7" year old daughter got this for Christmas along with a ridiculous amount of other gifts including a kindle fire and plasma car. Her cousin got a motorized scooter even and this trike as been the most used gift so far by all from ages 6 to 30 lol. Ive used it and must admit it is FUN!!! The kids LOVE it!!! My husband and I wish we had bought more at the $39 sale price. Pretty sure this one wins best gift of the year.
First i bought the Huffy Green Machine Jr. For my 5 year old, that lasted only one day, made entirely out of plastic it broke. Then i saw this Razor one but was not sure if it was big enough. Until my neighbors bought it. So i order it on Walmart.com got it in a couple of days. Easy to put it together. My now 6 years old girl loves it. Super fun specially the 360 turns. I recomend it!!!
I bought one of these for my son a year ago, he was 8 and 1/2. He and his friends love it so much that the front wheel is starting to come apart from overuse! I now purchased one for my nephew, just turned 9, so he can have one at his house. I would recommend this bike to anyone. The only concern is that it does not have a break so make sure their shoes have good tread on the bottom because that's what they use to stop it with.
My son received this for Christmas so we have had it for about a week. Hubby and I are impressed with the solid steel-like metal parts of the RipRider and the castors (back wheels) seem very sturdy as well. Our son rode his trike so much that he has about worn the plastic wheels out over the last 3 yrs he rode that. The front wheel of the RipRider is also made of plastic so I do have concerns about how well or long the front wheel is going to hold up. Also, the seat is made of plastic - am concerned about the durability of it as well in the long-term. This is something our son should be able to ride for quite a few years and then hand down to his baby brother. We will see how well the front wheel and seat hold up over time. Even if it doesn't hold up as long as I think it should, it was fairly inexpensive so I am confident we will at least get our money's worth out of it.
2nd time i bought this, why because rear wheels barrings are bad bought first one for christmas gift put it together in beginning of April and barrings are shot in both back wheels already the cost to replace rear wheels was $38.plus so i figured it was better to buy whole new trike in case something else needs to be replaced
