Red Heart Amigurumi Crochet Kit, Bridget the Giraffe

I haven't started working it yet. I'm new to this. The directions look difficult since I'm a beginner. I'm excited to see how it turns out. The colors are vibrant and the Dino is so cute.

THIS IS SO CUTE! Super easy to understand and a great value for a 10 year old beginner.

The set is all inclusive for a dinosaur; however, the instructions are not geared for beginners or a child. If you aren't familiar with how to hold the yarn, magic circles, etc you'll wind up looking at videos.

I bought this for my 8 year old daughter. She had shown interest in woobles but I didn't want to spend that much. It looks very similar to that brand so hopefully she will like it as much

Pretty easy pattern, however, there was not enough yarn to finish the project. Making magic circles seems to take up more yarn that a chain does. I had to add yellow yarn and did not have enough brown to make the body marks.

I'm still working on the first of a few simple amigurumi I purchased to learn how to do this. The kit is complete with appropriate yarn for the gauge, hook, marker, embroidery and appliqué materials as well as instructions, which do require some familiarity with the tradition. The patterns are cute and seem true to the photos.

Not too easy for beginners, I had no idea what I was doing, even with videos and the yarn kept splitting, although they may have been my fault. The kit itself for someone that knows what they're doing is great! It comes with a hook, yarn, stuffing, and the pattern instructions and needle and thread, I ended up giving it to a friend who finished it and it was adorable although quite small

The pattern is cute but the yarn is terrible for amigurumi. The yarn is stranded and splitty. After trying several different types of crochet hooks I gave up trying to make this toy with this yarn. Red Heart brand items are known for value at a price people can afford but this yarn disappoints.

This kit is useless. The instructions are not clear. There is an acronym list that you are supposed to use to read the instructions, but they don't really explain what the terms are, just what the acronym refers to. As if that wasn't bad enough, the "hook" is too small and only hooks a few threads of the yarn, pulling it apart. You need to be able to hook the entire diameter of the yarn so that you can turn the hook while pulling it through... Instead, you pull a few threads, and if you twist, it further pulls the yarn apart. What an absolute waste.

the yarn is twinned more like tweed than like actual yarn, and the minute you put your crochet hook into it it splits apart. considering you have to do that several hundred times to stitch, i can only imagine putting this together would be practically impossible. additionally, this is definitely not a kit for beginners, seeing as they never actually show you how to do any of the stitches, make a magic loop, etc. just get a woobles kit.
