I'm a mechanic and work at an auto parts store, and Redline products are generally top of the line. Especially for older manual transmissions that use brass synchronizers, the old-school GL4 oils are necessary to protect them from corrosion but gear oils like this are harder to find, usually not available in stores. I've gotten this oil shipped twice from Walmart with no problems.
if you have a vehicle with a manual transmission that you care about, this is the stuff for you. Beware of GL 5 oils, they will corrode your syncros. High quality GL 4! Very nicely packaged, the ziploc bags were a good touch.
tried in my crap Ba-10 transmission to try helping w lubrication and shifting issues. it was easy to pour, but it didn't help. so i drained for reusing cuz i have to replace tranny.
good for old volkswagen vw
Works well in my 350z trans!
Excellent product
better shifts
Best Gearbox Oil in the marker. Was recommended by my Lotus mechanic. Easy to change using a fluid transfer pump
Tried Ultra Plus 75w-90 GL-4 synthetic oil and what garbage... Shifts that were buttery smooth and easy before with Redline were now notchy and hard to engage. When very cold the Ultra was much thicker and almost granular in texture while the Redline was easy flowing and uniform in texture. Yes, Red Line MT-90 is substantially more costly, but it is worth it. If you need a GL-4 rated manual gear oil and this is the right viscosity here is what you want from a long-time real user.
Price is good. I can fully evaluate quality and satisfaction after I use the product.
