I bought this to keep my dog out of my front room when I’m not at home. She’s a very good dog, but when people are outside, she has jumped up on the window and I don’t want her messing up the blinds. I did not screw into the wall, as I did not want holes in case I had to take it down…so maybe this would change how sturdy the gate feels when I pull on it. It’s still very sturdy and I have to remember. It’s not a regular size gate so around the middle where the opening is it’s gonna have some free play. It didn’t take long at all to assemble. Maybe 20 minutes. This is a 5 foot opening. I didn’t use one of the pieces so you can go even wider if needed.

This was an excellent purchase, and would recommend to everyone!! Great gate for the price! Easy to setup, easy to use. Looks very expensive and elegant for a pet gate!! Perfect for our large doorway opening. Durable and sturdy with hyper dogs in the home. Purchased in the dark brown color and it perfectly matches our farmhouse decor.

We bought two of these for our home office entries. Excellent quality and easy to put together and install. We tried the pressure mount first, and found we had no need to use the wall mounts. Our little one (14 months with beastly strength) shakes them, and they don't budge. The openings are 48" and 36". The larger one had too much give with the configuration that we tried first, but there are different size extensions that work on either side of the gated section. Once we switched it up, there was almost no give at all. And again...so easy to take down and change around. We've had them up for a month now and they get used multiple times daily as well as strength tested every few days just to make sure nothing has changed. :) I read a few complaints about the lock and the bottom rail that doesn't move with the gate, but those do not present a problem for us at all. The locks can be opened with one hand, and though you have to step over the bottom rail, it makes the structure very secure. They are also very nice looking!

I bought this to keep my puppy in safer areas of my home. This one was both tall, wider, sturdy, and looked nice in the living room but it is NOT the gate for easy open / close with one hand. It requires both of the latches on the top and bottom of the swing gate to be to pressed / pulled simultaneously to both open and close the gate. This also makes it more difficult to close the gate as you have to let go of the buttons to re-close the gate back into the exact position or it will not close correctly.

It’s great for what we wanted BUT both my cat and puppy can fit through the gap in the gate at the end near the wall you install it on. So we had to improvise and cut up the box it came with to block that part of the gate off. Also because of this, it’s challenging to secure it properly. We have the gate tightened all the way and have to manually and a little forcefully close the gate where it latches shut. Other than that, we love it so far. The latch is easy and is a 2 step method which is fantastic for those with toddlers! I love the color and design. Install was easier than other baby gates we have installed. No drilling-just pressure mounted. Overall, I would definitely buy another if needed.

Not for small dogs! My dogs are 13 and 15 lbs and they can fit through the bars at the end of the gate. Those bars are wider than the rest. We come home and find them out, they literally squeeze through. Not safe for them. Now I have to buy something else to fix the large space. Other than that, the door opens both ways, is easy to open and close, and looks nice.

I have installed similae gates throughout my home due to my dogs. I tried this particular gate, which was in my opinion not cheap, and I am disappointed with its overall quality. More than that, I find it difficult to open and close, which has been frustrating. I have decided to return it. I initially thought I could manage, but it has proven to be more challenging than expected.

the item did not fit my 41 inch opening because it came in 3 sections to fit up to 56 in. I could only use 2 of the sections and the extensions were so far out they were very wobbly. only a fraction of the extension rod was in the frame and every time it open or closed it would rattle and wobble..and since the gap was so large on the sides my terrier was able to get through.

I've had 5 children and multiple pets so I consider myself very experienced in the world of baby items. This is the 2nd worst baby gate I have ever had the misfortune of buying. If you need to use tge gate fully extended it will not be sturdy, it wobbles and is unstable. The design and function of the tension knobs was serious designed by someone with their eyes crossed while standing on their head. The latch on the gate is loose, low quality flimsy plastic that is difficult to open and close. This will be getting returned for sure

the bottom part of the gate is stuck so I won't click to stay fist one i order didn't have all the parts and second they sent was faulty. I have to put a chair to avoid my dog from opening the little door but it works so far
