Renogy BT-1 Bluetooth Module (New Version)

works well with app its expensive but quality would be better included with the kit

Performs as advertised, bluetooth and app work fine. Not sure how much I actually need it, as the controller in my camper is easy to see & I probably won't look at the phone app all that much.

I have a small 200 watt system on my camper and everything is in a pretty tight spot so I decided to get the Renogy BT-1. I have a clone controller ML2420 and after I plugged in the Bluetooth Module it connected very quickly. Since my solar configuration isn't very large, I'm trying out two apps that seem to work pretty well. Renogy DC Home and Renogy BT both seem to work well and I still haven't decided which one I like best. I've been able to get data on my phone in my house from about 30 feet away and the BT-1 is in an enclosed space. If you feel this would be a benefit to you, I'd highly recommend it.

paring was automatic, no looking for device after the DC home app was installed. displays solar voltage, amps, watts being produced as well as battery volts, charging amps and total Kwh produced since last reset. I have lithium batteries so temp sensor is not installed or used, but there is a display for it if needed. unit is installed inside a cabinet inside my camper coach and seems to reach the 80' to my phone if unobstructed.

This device works great to interface wirelessly with the Renogy or similar ML2240 clones out there. The app is ok, could be better, but it does work giving you access to the device and the ability to modify and monitor the MPPT controller.

I don't always get out to my boat but this ties to a monitor that I have there and can now check on my batteries and charging when I am not there. It's great

Extremely easy to install and use. The app is okay. There are actually 2 apps that I found. I like the long cord to allow for installation where I need it for a better signal.

This is a nice addition to the Renogy solar system at a reasonable price. It allows monitoring or configuring of the charging system via your smartphone or tablet. It's easy to use, you just open it and specify the desired bluetooth device. My only real complaint is that you have to specify it each time you exit the app.

I love having the Bt-1 module! I would like to see a better description of what each of the parameters mean. I have it set for Li battery, randomly it will switch to “user” and drop my pre set numbers. Since my other controllers are set to 13.8 float and storage voltage, the default 14.4v seems too high……not sure I need to be worried about that? I'm using 1 Battleborn 100 ah battery.

I like it I would probably love it if I understood the basis of solar and the technical side of solar and batteries. I probably give it a 100% positive feedback if I understood. A little bit I do know I like that part of it.
