I was skeptical at first, as few bugs were initially trapped. However, after about four weeks, I noticed a lack of flying hazards (LOL) which are a perennial problem out here in the country. Lo-and-behold, the traps are full of mud daubers and other assorted stinging things that fly. These are great and I'll order more!
The important thing to know is when to install these. YOU HAVE TO PUT THEM OUT JUST AS THE QUEENS COME OUT OF HYBERNATION. Otherwise, you're behind the cycle and you'll only get the workers. Which will provide SOME relief but not as much as when you study their cycle. I USED AI TO FIGURE OUT WHEN TO BUY THEM AND IT WORKED.
i just got them qnd just started putting together. i saw them in action during a big 4th of july bbq!! No bugs no mosquitos or flies etc... past years had been bad but not this year and i looked up and saw 3 of these hanging wnd had tons of bugs.... i asked what r they they work awesome!! so she showed me wrapper and they too were so impressed! so i immediately ordered via walmart cheape than they bought at local walmart. got them like tuesday. so impressed as i feel i may have a break from bugs!
Love this product. Not messy. The moment you put them out, they start working. We have them placed around doors, patio, and sheds. They greatly reduce flying bugs of all types. We put them out in Spring, and toss them at the beginning of Winter. Easy to put together and work effortlessly all Spring, Summer, and Fall.
I've tried so many wasp traps, but this one is the best, by far! I will put this up in a high wasp-congregating area, and a couple of hours later, I have several wasps on the trap. Admittedly, I have to ignore the struggling wasps because I start feeling bad about the way they have to end. That said, I can finally sit outside on my deck without wasps buzzing me constantly. The only downfall is the trap also gets harmless moths and even honey bees sometimes, which is not good. I have been able to save bumble bees from the trap twice. I carefully use a small stick to have them crawl on, and I very slowly remove them from the sticky trap and place them on a flower in the garden. So far, they have been able to clean the sticky off of themselves and fly away. Thank goodness!
Hang this product where you see wasp flying in area and soon you will see them attached to the trap. it also attracts the asian beatles and lizards to sticky surface.
This works as a great back up plan but try putting Vicks outside under any corners. That is the best deterrent we've found
caught many types of insects, but did not hold up well in wind or rain fine uner a porch roof, not great out in open air
it works great. My neighbor has chicken %26 there's a lot of flies so it got all the different bugs we have
I was expecting the wasps to go to these and get stuck but they fly right past them without even noting them. A few wasps have stuck but I think I just got lucky.
