[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have reviewd these Revlon Gel Envy nail polishes earlier this year but am reviewing once again as these polishes have now been nominated for the Best in Beauty 2014 awards. I am still enjoying these nail polishes. The colour selection is great. Although there are a few colours that aren't really my style I really love some of the others... the yellow and bright blue and some peachy colours, pinks and reds. This is still the best polish I've tried for some time that wasn't a real gel polish. The Revlon Gel Envy enamels compare really well to the lamp-cured gels I can do at home. If you are looking for gel-like nails but are a bit money-poor and time-poor then the Revlon Gel Envy polishes could be what you are after. The Revlon Gel Envy nails do achieve close to a "flawless, salon-quality colour" with highly pigmented colours and a high gloss finish without streaks. Each bottle has a double brush which does make application easier as long as you make sure excess polish is scraped back into the bottle before applying. Two coats of the colour/base topped with one coat of Diamond Top Coat are all I needed when trying the Yellow (210- Casino Nights) and Blue (440- Wild Card). Both of these colours lasted without chips for at least four days. With other nail polishes (non-gel) I find the chips start appearing on day one or two. Revlon Gel Envy had great lasting power without the prep and curing required for a real gel manicure. The formula is free of the three big baddies (so no Formaldehyde, Toluene or DBP) which is obviously great. It smells like any other nail polish of similar ingredients. The packaging is sleek black and white and the colours look great through the clear glass bottles. I think it will be a long time until I drag out my gel lamp and polishes as these Revlon Gel Envy polishes are excellent. They go on easily, dry quite quickly, look extremely glossy and well-pigmented and they are very easily removed with normal nail polish remover. I've loved the bright colours I have tried so far and feel cheered up just looking at them. Thank you again Revlon and beautyheaven for letting me trial these great nail polishes! I won't hesitate to recommend them to anyone and I think they are definitely worthy of their Best in Beauty nomination for 2014. Read the full review of Colorstay Gel Envy Nail Enamel by Dollhouse.
I had been searching for a nail polish that would deliver a brightening effect to the nail, a "your nails but better" experience. Bet on Love is gorgeous, the colour is sheer buildable gorgeousness without any grittyfeeling from the sparkles. Lasts well on nail, chip resistant, and so, so pretty. If you are after a well groomed long lasting manicure, this is a great product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As always thank you to beautyheaven for allowing me to participate in this trial. I thought I would get only one colour to try and I was delighted to get all 30 colours in the range. These polishes are great! The time I've had for the trial enabled me to get three applications. Each time, I got 4-5 days out of them, and I used a variety of finishes, shimmers and cremes. I'm really hard on my hands, and particularly during the course of this trial as I'm currently on a skiing trip. The first three days were only tip wear, usually a result of my typing as part of my job. Yes, I wrapped the colour, but the tip wear still happened. The thing is, three days for a standard polish is great for me! I was very impressed. Also, with the top coat it did dry quite fast. Removal is super easy, I use standard acetone, and it works just fine. No scraping required. The brush is fantastic and makes application a dream. Minimal clean up required. The colour range is lovely. I'd wouldnt mind a few more glitters but I'll be using more of these. A couple of things- you really need to push your cuticles back. It chips from the nail base if you don't. Also, the top coat isn't as glossy as some others I've tried. Finally, and this is particularly annoying, I got really terrible staining on my nails because the instructions said not to use a basecoat. I mean it was epic. It was a blue colour and when I removed it my fingernails were stained so blue the they looked like they were going to fall off from the cold. I really want to see whether I can use the top coat with other polishes to see how it goes but I haven't had a chance yet. Still, a great product from Revlon. Recommend!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this nail polish. It goes on easy and I only need to put one coat. I found that it doesn't chip until the 4th or 5th day which is a great nail polish in my books. I personally prefer the look/bottle of Revlon's other nail polish but it's the product that's more important.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not really a nail polish gal, or at least I never have been in the past, but I've started to use it lately, in an attempt to strengthen my weak, easily broken nails. The problem I have is that I use my hands a lot - gardening, cooking and cleaning and polish always chips and breaks. I was delighted by Colorstay Gel Envy because it lasts much longer on me than usual polishes and still comes off easily so I can change the colour.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This nail polish is fantastic. The colour 'Perfect Pair' truly is the perfect colour and is my go-to every time. '2 of a kind' is also nice. The polish is very glossy, has great colour payoff, and most importantly, it LASTS. I have used it on both natural and artificial nails, and both were amazing. The price is great too for such a good quality product. Once you try this I doubt you'll ever go back to other nail polishes.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked this up in the most recent beautorium. The colour is lovely and I find that it dries faster than other polishes I have used in the fast. I find only one coat is needed for a solid, even colour however this polish has very little staying power, especially considering it is supposed to have a prolonged use. I found that it was starting to chip from the day after so it really makes me question this claim. Nice colour but for the price they need to make sure it actually lasts longer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the dark blue/black colour and it looks pretty much black. Mine didnt chip until the 4th day so that's pretty good for my standards since i wash my hands alot. I needed 2 coats for it to be completely opaque. I wouldnt say this is particularaly extra long lasting compared to normal nail polishes. Maybe an extra day or 2 without the top coat. With the top coat an extra week tops
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this nail polish and top coat with such high hopes. I really like the look of gel nails and to get this without the hassle of using the whole UV thing sounded great. Unfortunately it turned out to be quite disappointing. The good parts were: the polish and top coat were easy to apply. I liked the brush as it made the polish go on much easier than the brushes from some other brands (basically, I didn't get it on the skin around the edges of my nails!). It also dried quickly, which was great. I'd been worried it would take ages to dry but it was nice and quick. It also looked nice and gel-like glossy. The bad: I applied the polish on a Sunday night and it was already chipped by Monday afternoon. So disappointing! And this was going about my normal routine where other brands usually last at least 4 or 5 days. I also found the colour a little streaky. I used a darker colour and found that it needed three coats of colour to achieve the look I wanted. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be purchasing any more of the colours from this range.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was not so lucky to win this product but never the less went out and bought a colour and top coat as I really love trying new and good nail products. I almost always buy Revlon nail polishes so I was extremely disappointed that after applying the nail polish, which went on very well, let it dry, then applied the top coat and was happy with the end result, the following day after my usual daily chores of light tidying up and washing the dishes my nails had patches where the polish has worn or chipped. Ok, I washed the dishes without gloves, but I do this using ordinary nail polish too. Anyway, each day the nail polish just wore off and chipped, I kept patching daily as I really thought it may get stronger. Another thing, my nails are usually quite strong with nail polish and a good top coat. This is not the case with the Revlon gel. I will be removing the coating tomorrow, then I will give it another chance. Also not sure how nails will be after using a stronger remover. I do love the colours and will probably go buy some more as I really love nail polishes. Perhaps the lamp makes a difference but the Revlon site is not too helpful in details. That is why general public review products honestly.
