Quality set! Solid wood (looks like wood, smells like wood, wonderful!). Reminds me of sets you could buy in my childhood 40 years ago! :) The variety in this set is cool, but I would probably have liked a few pieces that were notch-to-notch connectors and cove-to-cove connectors for more versatility in play. That's because of other pieces I have, though, so that wouldn't be the same for everyone. I feel that I got a great deal and wasn't expecting the quality to be so outstanding. This set would be a really nice add-on for a birthday gift for a beloved child in your life. You can use these with any standard train sets, and adding this track gives the kiddo plenty of fun pieces to use. Building a LOOONNNNGGGGG track is definitely a big part of the fun!

I got these for my daughter who got a train advent calendar for Christmas. They were the perfect size. A little tricky for little hands to put together and take apart but that is true with most wooden train tracks.

There is quite a bit of wood track for the money, however some came broken.

The small curved radius track causes the two different trains I bought at the same time to derail constantly. With out using those it is impossible to build a usable lay out
