The deluxe version is worth it!
I was debating between getting the regular Rivals for Catan and the Deluxe Edition, but I'm so glad I got the deluxe version! The card organizers help greatly to not mix up the cards and help with playing the game! The game is quite different from Catan with the cards and helpers, but once you get it down, it is so fun!

My favorite 2 player game
This is by far my favorite 2 player game. There is some benefit to knowing which cards are in the game and what they do, but a card review before play, then a card review before second play mitigates advantage gained by knowledge of the cards. There is luck in the the die rolls, but the winner of this hame is the person thay best uses the resources given and best use of the card stacks (the aniyto search the delcs is always available).

Very fun if you like the original.
Awesome, fun game. Easy to learn if you've played the original board game version. Also need space to spread out the cards. Played with 8 and 11 year olds, they enjoyed it.
