Well made, well designed. Works perfectly. I liked the small handle for pulling out the plug when finished and I also like the small handle because it folds down and allows the electrical box cover to close fully.

This is a great 30 Amp to 15 Amp adapter. It works perfectly beside the 50 Amp to 30 Amp dogbone the brand also sells, which gives you full service on the main and a secondary with 15 Amp rating on the standard extension cord for extra loads off the main camper feed. Really like that the female end lights up to tell you when power is applied. Should help prevent accidents.

Our favorite campground, like many others, offers both 30 amp and 15 or 20 amp service. Typically, a regular extension cord plugged into the 15 or 20 amp outlet works fine. But, in the colder months, we use an electric heater, to keep out tent warm, at night. The heater, combined with other electrical devices, can put a great strain on small gauge extension cords and push the limit of the weaker circuit breaker. Using this adapter and a heavy 12 ga extension cord eased stress on the cords and eliminated the threat of tripping breakers.

THis type of connector is not very common in this configuration so it was possible that the price could have been driven up by this. In typical Wal-Mart fashion, the price was very good, the quality appears to be also very good and I look forward to using this item. The design has added value due to the addition of the rotating pull handle for removing the 30amp male connector from the outlet and also the "on" light within the female side of the cord.
