Customer Insights: Rated 4.2/5 from 15 reviews.
The concept is awesome, love this idea but it would be even better if it had more pages cause 16 pages is not enough especially when it's only able to be cleared just 5 times...still gave it 5 stars because of concept
After seeing this item on Shark Tank I just had to get my hands on one of these notebooks! I love the capability of being able to upload handwritten notes on to the cloud to refer to a later time. I actually gave this notebook to my son, with the intention that he can use this notebook throughout the year as it comes with 32 reusable pages. I have read that notebook is good for up to 5 reuses. You can clear the notebook by using a microwave! So far it has worked well, my son takes notes in class and later uploads them to his Google Drive (Dropbox, Evernote, and Box work too!) and he can refer to them digitally as he need to study for exams. This notebook comes with one pen from Pilot Frixon line -- you can purchase more pens and highlighters as needed. Highly recommend this futuristic notebook that eliminates paper waste! As a note, I am writing this unbiased review in exchange for a sample product.
The Rocketbook Wave Standard is an amazing tool for the note-taker. This definitely makes you want to take notes because the concept is really cool! The scanner app works really well. It crops out all unnecessary things and makes the notes look like they were written on a tablet. Comes with a pen & the lines on the paper don't show up once scanned. It's easy to use and I love the dots that help keep my writing level without being restricted with lines. *Unbiased review written in exchange for sample product*
I love to take this notebook on trips with me, when I know I need to travel light, but need paper to take notes. I plan to take this around the world with me! Easy to write notes on the smooth paper, simple documentation, and so fun to throw it in the microwave! Strongly recommend this to anyone always forgetting to pack a notebook with clean paper. - Unbiased review written in exchange for sample product
This is the wave of the future! My daughter bought my this as a birthday gift. This particular version is the larger one where you can jot down your ideas and then using an app on your phone...you can store them in a cloud drive as PDF pages (or JPG) or send the pages to yourself via e-mail through pre-programmed symbols you mark at the bottom of the page. Great for people that rely on their ideas to make things happen! I'm sold on this product line!
If you write down any type of sensitive information, this might be the notebook for you. I jotted down info about a surprise gift for my little brother, but one day I caught him flipping through it when I left it on my desk. That was the first time I tried the microwave feature (for the notebook, not my brother), and I must say that I was skeptical that it would do what Rocket Book claimed it could. After about 30 seconds, I took it out and found all of the contents erased (I uploaded the important pages to the cloud beforehand). The book was definitely warm, but it didn't appear to be altered or disfigured afterwards. This notebook is great for confidential writings like a diary or embarrassing love poems. The pen functions and writes like any typical pen, so it would be great for work if you ever feel like that NDA you signed might be broken if someone gets the hands on your notes. HOWEVER, the product also says there's a recovery feature where you can freeze the notebook and it comes back. I haven't used this feature yet, and if it works it would be helpful to me. But, I do not recommend buying this product if you have personal trust issues or if the person you buy it for has trust issues themselves. Otherwise, you will be finding the notebook in the freezer every time you go to grab a microwave meal. Tl;dr: great product, writes fine, notebook works as advertised. Don't buy if you have trust issues.
It's good but after a few erases the pages start to look dirty
I didnt know about reusable notebooks existing until I saw this when I was just looking for new notebooks. I write a lot so I thought it would be a good investment. However now that I know of the existence of reusable notebooks I personally wouldn't have chosen this one because of the erasing process. This Wave requires detailed instructions on using a microwave to have the entire book cleared if you dont erase after every use. I would've gotten one of the others by Rocketbook that make their pages in a way to erase by cloth.
I love Rocketbook and have 2 already. I wished they were more regular size vs "executive" size and had more pages. I thought this met my desires but when I got it I found out the sheets are not the same. These are more paper and only mass erased by sticking it in the microwave -- thus the name Wave. Which that would be OK except you can apparently only do that 5 times and then you have to get a new one. So while I love the extra pages and larger size, I'm returning one of the 2 I purchased.
I followed the instructions exactly for erasing with microwave, and it stayed with very visible markings. The company writes that some ghosting may stay, but this is way more then just "ghosting". I tried doing it again, but still stayed with very disturbing marks. This is only good for one time use.
