BluRay looks great.Movie translates well from big screen to the home theater. A unique story in the franchise of Star Wars that is set before A New Hope that details the stealing of the plans to the first Death Star,of which the opening scroll to the original movie gave us a synopsis of what happened before. Different than any other movie in the franchise in that it resembles more of the old time war movie classics like The Dirty Dozen or Kelly's Heroes. A perfect addition to the overall story arc .
This is an excellent movie except for the part where the 2 main characters are snuffed out. No sequel with them in it.
I am a Star Wars fan, had already seen it several times. These extra movies help to complete the saga. They answer questions. Buying it was a no-brainer.
I bought this movie after seeing it in the theater. I love the cover design and like that it is the blu-ray, DVD and the digital HD.
I haven't watched it yet, but it arrived in perfect shape. Will be my first time seeing the movie, haven't seen it in theaters, but have to keep the set updated.
So I just purchased this this morning and I still haven't received my digital copy on VUDU, I'm not sure why because last week I did everything just fine with Fantastic Beasts, Please help?
I like the movie. Not a true star wars movie but more of a back story to them.
The movie is great, which is why I bought it. What annoyed me is that it was listed online for $22.96 and I went to Wal-Mart to purchase it vs a competitor for that price. In store, it's $24.96, $2 more. Which may not seem like a lot, but it made me angry. I could've complained or made them adjust it, but i didn't want to go through the hassle. I won't make that mistake again.
While watching Rogue One: I discovered glitching that began just prior to the "Rogue One" movie title (during manhole cover scene). If you are using Leawo Blu-Ray Player Software: Stop using it and switch back to Cyberlink Power DVD. Leawo Software, for some reason, just doesn't support this movie well. Make sure that your Cyberlink Power DVD software (be it 10 or 16 or whatever) is up to date. Also recommend getting updated drivers from the manufacturer of your Blu-ray player. Mine is an LG slimline. Note: I haven't tried watching the movie using VLC or any other software, so I'm not sure if the movie will behave using those or not. Anyways, hope this helps someone faster than it took me to figure out for myself. Take care. :o)
I bought the Blue Ray copy of this movie and found the sound not to be very good in English on my 5.1 surround sound system, or on my 2.1 stereo system. But it sounded great in french and Spanish because it was in the 5.1 format. In English the soundtrack was very disappointing, in 5.1 only the 4 left and right speakers worked and the center speaker and my subwoofer did not. You need a 7.1 system in English to get decent sound from this blue ray movie. It states "7.1 English" in very small print on the back cover of the blue ray and i will be looking very closely in the future, and I will not buy any more 7.1 Blue Ray movie disks!!!
