Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker (DVD)

This was the last episode of Star Wars. It was action packed. Enjoyable. The episode I needed was Episode VIII. Which I ordered.

Came in excellent condition, terrific end to 12 movie Star Wars group.

Played well, case intact got it to complete collection

I have been a Start Wats fan from the beginning. I was unable to see it on the theater, so I was very glad to receive the last of this saga. I enjoyed it very much.

Son has collected all the Star Wars movies as he is a very big fan - so I ordered Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker for his birthday (most recent film at this writing), and he was thrilled. As you would expect, the movie itself is very entertaining and the graphics are phenomenal. During the pandemic we cannot do much of anything so in lieu of visiting Galaxy's Edge aka Star Wars Land in California, this was the next best thing. Thank you Walmart for having this movie in stock!

I think this film was a proper send off to the Skywalk mythos and to the wonderful actress Carrie Fisher. I would still love to see more star wars films in the future, but ending the Skywalker story properly was the right call. Maybe future films can focus on some of the families of the lesser characters. I'm sure Lando and Han probably have some illegitimate children running around. Lol

I mean it's the last in the series so you can't just stop after episode 8. it's a good movie overall

A good movie for all the Star War Trilogies.

good movie, bought it to add to existing series. too long, nothing new added, story the same. Carrie Fisher's "performance" was creepy.

I think part of the issue with tying up the saga was too many story lines in the final two films. They set up plots involving characters in the next to last movie that were totally abandoned in this one in an effort to bring the focus back to Rey. While the characters were still interesting some of the material seemed recycled from the original films. The reveal of who Rey's parents were seemed off and not something eluded to before. Also, the whole Ben and Rey thing seemed weird considering she had more chemistry with Finn. The addition of Billy D. Williams was a treat for fans, but his character was underutilized and just there for nostalgia. I think the original films and even the prequels (though not my favorite) stayed true to the narrative of what Star Wars is rather than this one meant to be the end all of the story. But if you have the franchise you have to get it.
