Roku Ultra | Streaming Device 4K/HDR/Dolby Vision, Roku Voice Remote with Headphone Jack, Premium HDMI® Cable

Streaming video was a bit intimidating for me to consider as previously I've had TV service via cable or satellite for many years. But when I considered the escalating costs of my most current satellite service, I decided to cancel that service and try a streaming device. With a little trepidation, I began researching online and decided on a Roku Ultra after weighing many good reviews from professionals as well as customers. I am very happy with my choice. After initial cost of the device itself, the cost of TV viewing will be much more cost effective, or even nil, according to my choice of channels. And for anyone who might be hesitant because, like me, they have no one to help with the set up, you can do it. I received my second Roku Ultra today and had it set up in less than 15 minutes.

I have used a Roku player for several years, and decided to upgrade to the Ultra Roku player. It works great. Very easy to use, and doesn't forget my logins or passwords when the power goes out. Great video streaming on 4K TV. Picture quality is excellent.

I have a 2019 and now a 2020. 2019 was on sale, 2020 was not. I was uncertain if the 2020 was really any better or if it was a way to not discount newer model. I now can assure anyone interested, the 2020 provides a better picture in comparison to 2019. Comparison being on the same television, same location, same internet router and modem. 2020 would be my choice.

Very easy to set up and use. Although trying to select letters and numbers for passwords or usernames is a little cumbersome. The speed of response is faster than other devices we've used for the same purpose. I would recommend this device to my friends.

Bought this Roku because the smaller version kept buffering and dropping out. Tgis was supposed to have better wifi range and it definitely seems to do the trick. As with other rokus, the biggest flaw is you can't turn it off. It will go to Screensaver mode, but stays on and gets super hot. The remote has a poor location for volume controls as it is on the side of the remote, causing you to mute or change volume when you are trying to grip the remote. A strange design flaw. Otherwise I love it and it serves its purpose.

So much faster than my "old" Roku 3920R that I only got about a year ago. The remote is bigger, heavier and more solid too. The earbuds work great when plugged in to the remote. The remote also controls the volume of the TV (even when watching antenna TV and not using the ROKU) and the power button shuts down the TV too! No over-heating problem like I had with the 3920R and ESPECIALLY the older purple Roku Stick 3500X. I had to put a small fan on that one or it would not stay connected to the WIFI.

We purchased this because we had the impression that you can pretty much watch anything you want on it but you can't you cannot watch YouTube you cannot watch most channels without paying you can get news free but it's actually the news that's already been on the air so it's not real current news I would not make this decision again but it's up to you.

Arrived as expected. Cant Ive a review on the product, as this was a purchase for the holidays coming. However, I do want to comment on the appearance of the actual boxes. First of all there seemed to be layers of dust on both. In addition, there are several scratches on the box itself. Also, one of them seems to have something loose inside, while the other one is just fine. I honestly don't usually write reviews, but the outside packaging makes the appearance of a used item, not suitable for gift giving. Hope the devices inside work.

Ordered the Ultra and was sent the LT version which is half the price of the model ordered. CROOKS!

If your tv does not have a hdcp 2.2 hdmi port this box will not work properly with your tv I bought my tv in 2018 it is a 4ktv 60hertz and was very disappointed the key word is 2020 if your tv is more than 2years it probably want work properly Walmart should make clear in the add
