An excellent way for a young person to learn about living root systems, my 7 year old Grandson loves it, he is currently growing Rainbow Carrot Seeds, also purchased from Walmart.com

Grandson loved this as a Christmas present. He Always loves the spring when gardens are prepped and planted, so he can still peak his interest during the cold weather

I bought this for my nephew for his birthday. He has had the best time watching and recording his plants grow. Great gift with learning built in.

This was a gift for a 6.5 year old grandchild, within the stated appropriate age range. However, the child's response was fairly negative, too young to be able visualize "watching roots grow."

this was a gift for a 5 years old, but i opened it %26 it didn't have the seeds that showed on the package

It is very small. I expected it to be about double the size. bery small.

From the top of the plastic to the bottom of the plastic, is 5 and 1/2". Now take away maybe 1/2" because nobody has soil all the way to the top where it'll spill out when you water it. I have never grown a carrot that short. 5" may be a radish (the tip of the radish is a long as the bulb. VERY deceptive. No where did it say the demensions prior to sale. I had to measure the demensions after I received the tiny plastic box that showed plenty of room for a carrot. This never made it to children. They would be confused and discouraged trying to grow vegetables in that box that shows a full grown carrot on the outside of the box. Fraud is bad enough, but fraud involving children is appalling.

Product is deceiving in the photos. The viewer box is very small.
