I was able to purchase the same exact scooter from walmart.com for $100 less than what the local medical supply company was going to charge me even after my insurance paid for some of it! I am not very coordinated, so crutches were not really an option for me. This scooter made it so easy for me to get around and return to work much sooner than expected. I love the burgundy color and the basket is big enough to carry my purse and and few other things at the same time. I would definitely recommend this scooter to anyone having foot surgery! It's super light and easily folds down for transport/storage. Thank you Walmart for making this purchase so easy & the free delivery to my home within 48 hours from ordering.
It works well, not so easy to use on carpet. At least i havent fallen off of it yet
Worked great for me.I would recommend it to anyone.Nice feature is the brakes and the parking break is a must.
The Roscoe Knee Walker/Scooter work very well for me. It help me to be able to get around by myself, and that is so important for someone that living along.
I have a broken foot and will have to be off of it a long time. I purchased this scooter to help me get around the house. It is wonderful. It is easier than crutches on carpeting. The scooter is slower on thick carpet, but overall better than crutches for me. The quality of the scooter is very good. I would definitely recommend the pad for the knee cushion as that is a little on the hard side. I would recommend this scooter to my friends.
I like the scooter very much. It was delivery one day before, within 3 days. It was easy to assembly; the main parts were already put together. The price and shipping was less than Amazon. The seat is comfortable. Scooter runs smooth, brakes strong. Thank you Walmart for being there. I already recommend to other people that will have knee, ankle surgery to get one from Walmart.com
Best investment made prior to foot surgery. Will be non weight bearing for at least 6 weeks. So much easier than crutches or walker. Can carry things and move faster with less effort. Awesome while recovering and in pain.
Solidly built. Won't break. Pros: 1. Quiet wheels. Tires are smooth on smooth surfaces. 2. Disk brake stops smoothly. 3. Fairly light for transporting. Not so Pro features: 1. Brake cable is WAY too long. Sticks out in a loop that catches on door handles, cabinet knobs, even car bumpers. Do not take this scooter into a china shop. 2. Tires say they are good on a variety of surfaces, but they catch on every crack, pavered sidewalks, and are especially treacherous on those yellow bump pads at every sidewalk intersection. Not really "all-terrain." 3. Locking brake mechanism (pushing down on the brake lever) is extremely stiff. 4. Buy yourself an extra knee pad and handlebar grip pads.
I had to have foot surgery and my doctor said because of the nature of my job I couldn't work for a minimum of three weeks. I found this and because of this walker I was able to return to work right away. I zip around work and having surgery hasn't slowed me down one bit. I would recommend this walker. There are two small drawbacks, first if you hit a pot hole or rut you risk tipping over but I was able to keep myself upright and the second is that even as thick as this cushion is, my knee starts to hurt after 20/30 minutes or riding around. The longer I'm on it the longer I can go with minimal knee pain but that is nothing compared to the pain I had pre-surgery.
Think twice before getting this scooter. The wheels do not take bumps and cracks well at all. It jerks the handlebars so badly that it has almost caused me to fall. It does not move well on carpet at all and it takes a lot of effort to move it. The wheels are also causing my vinyl sheet flooring to pull up in spots and there are wrinkles in other spots. I wish I would have gotten a different one.
