Rotating Aluminum Compass Bicycle Bell, Black

I used to be a navigator on refueling air tankers, and wanted to pass down a bit of my legacy to my grand daughter. I purchased this for her bike accessory for Christmas. My daughter opened it up and was SO jealous...she almost didn't give it to her daughter! Now my grand daughter is the coolest kid on the block, and hopefully, she will incorporate a bit of science every time she goes for a ride!

I still kept it, because I love the Compass! Its the best! I bought a separate bell.

The clamp is so tiny it doesn't fit my handlebars. I will have to find a really long screw in order to use it.

This is a hilarious excuse for a bell and the "compass" doesn't work. A plastic ball that gets stuck against the sides and doesn't even point true north. If you can find north, then point that way, it might work. The "bell", well...pull back on the thumb thingy and let go...that's your "bell". This may have been made in the 1930's. Hard pass!

This bell is very small, and did not work. Package crushed in the bubble envelope it arrived in. It took weeks to arrive, too late to buy something else for Christmas. I will be returing it.

First order damaged in UPS shipment. Received replacement. The compass does move when the handle bars are rotated 90 degrees. Compass floating in liquid erratic and seldom moves. The bell works but the compass is totally worthless.

Basically, it shipped to my house broken.

Bell did not work. Looked like it had been returned. The compass was scratched.

Compass does not read true or close, bell difficult to operate quickly if needed.

Even if it had arrived in tact it's useless. The bell barely makes sound and how has time to thump with the thing when you need to sound a bell.
