Got this to replace our old small grill. It is solid and works great. Looks more expensive than it is to me! We used it nearly every day the first week and can say the offset smoker is a great feature. We used hickory wood chips when we made steaks for the family and it was all cooked perfectly. The grill has enough space to cook burgers or steaks for a crowd of 5-6 at a time.
Made in the USA. This was easy to assemble in about 35 minutes. It is of good quality, not thin metal or cheaply made. All parts fit together perfectly during assembly. The wooden shelves and handles are attractive. There is plenty of grill surface for smoking or barbecue. After proper seasoning, I used it the first time to slow-smoke homemade Polish kielbasa, homemade beef brisket, and homemade buckboard bacon at the same time. It all came out very well.
We are very happy with this grill - it is worth the money and at a good price. The parts are made out of metal and wood with no plastic, cheap parts. My husband put it together pretty quickly and was using it that evening. I would buy this grill again as it was worth the money, delivered on time and especially it is made in the U.S.A.
I bought this grill and it delivered to my mother's house (she lives 4 states away from me) for an upcoming family BBQ due to her grill being damaged in a storm and unusable. My sister (who has a disability) put it together before I was able to fly home. She said it was easy for her to follow the instructions. We cooked 3 slabs of ribs, burgers, brats, chicken, etc. on it. It was perfect for us %26 the family loved the food. The smoker was used dually as a smoker and for hot dogs, chicken breasts. It arrived on time and was exactly as pictured.
For the price, you get a well made, sturdy, nice size unit. Excellent for novice and seasoned griller. Easy to install. Make sure you mount the main body facing the right way!! The only con - the toy wheels included for the unit.
bought this for my sons birthday. he loves it. had to cook ribs on this first and they was so good
Needed a new grill that was big enough but offered a smoker too.
The grill was kind of a pain to assemble with no written instructions only pictures but I managed to figure it out eventually. Holds heat great, spacious, and my husband has no serious complaints other than the thermometer on the grill seems to be slightly inaccurate.
Missing the wheel barrel 🥹. Outside of that.. okay I guess!
I got two Royal Gourmet at the same time, one is a gas grill, and one is this one. About this one: No heat retention at all. It's very cheaply made with extremely thin metal. It bends while you tighten the screws (manually, that is, absolutely do not use any power tools at all). The “adjustable” system is primitive — the coal tray only hangs in one of two positions, about 2 inches apart, and that's the full range of adjustment. Assembly is also a hassle because most of the parts are unnumbered. Some corners are so tight that it's difficult to use a screwdriver, and no tools are included. They should have used hex screws instead of Phillips screws so L-wrenches could work in those tight spaces. I would return this ASAP and get the Expert Grill Heavy Duty 24-Inch instead, if I did not have to disassemble and rebox it to return (throw the box anyway)
