Royal & Langnickel Essentials 500ml Gesso Acrylic Paint Medium

I'm an artist so I have bought many different brands of gesso but this was my 1st time buying Royal %26 Langnickel Gesso. I was hesitant to purchase it but happy that I did. It comes in a nice plastic jar with a lid that can be opened to dip the gesso out and also has a flip top with spout so it can be squeezed out. The texture is good, not too thick or thin, it applies smooth and easy, has good coverage, dries quickly and leaves a nice smooth finish with just the right amount of texture for the paint to adhere to. Will buy again and recommend

Its Gesso. Used to prime canvases before painting. This isn't the best but it's not the worst. I usually have to put 2 to 3 coats to achieve the coverage I like.

This is exactly what I needed to prime some cheap canvases I bought. They were sucking up all the paint I put on them until I friend recommended I use this as a first layer. It's nice and thick, and a little bit goes a long way.

I purchased the quick drying Gesso after finding some old canvas prints that did not fit my decor. The Gesso allowed me to cover and prime the canvas prints so that I can DIY my own acrylic painting!

It does the job is intended to do.

This prepares the canvas for the paint. Paint flows smoother, looks so much better, and takes less paint to create a painting. Great product ! I won't paint without it anymore.

While not the popular brand, this ESSENTIALS gesso brand does everything the pricier brand does: consistency, opacity, and flow are all excellent for a lower price.
