RTIC 24 Can Ultra-Tough Backpack Cooler, Leakproof, Waterproof Zipper, Graphite

This has been our family's go-to cooler all summer. Pool, lake/beach, camping, parties, picnics, we literally take this thing everywhere. It's the largest backpack cooler we've ever seen while still being comfortable to wear, and surprisingly manageable when full. And holds ice pretty well. The cold lock/no-zip thing is a marketing gimmick tho, you definitely need to zip it up when not using it.

I had bought this cooler as a replacement for a different brand. What a significant difference. This cooler blows my old one out of the water, using the same ice packs. My items stay cold for multiple days in the hot desert. The zipper is a little tough at first, but using the supplied lube properly makes it quite a bit easier to handle. I've only had it for a couple weeks but the construction is solid, durable, and seems like it will last a very long time. I love this cooler.

Have only used a few times. I sold my Yeti backpack to go back to RTIC cooler, as still have a soft side cooler. The Yeti was not as easy to put lunch and beverages in for a day on the beach. With the RTIC having a fixed shape it is much easier to fill and find what you want in the cooler, especially on the bottom. I have had no issues with the zipper on any of my RTIC's.

I recently picked up a backpack cooler for weekend hikes and beach trips, and I'm thoroughly impressed. It combines the portability of a regular backpack with the insulation performance of a high-end cooler. Pros: Excellent Insulation: Drinks and snacks stayed cold for over 12 hours, even in 85°F heat. I used just a few ice packs, and they held up remarkably well. Comfortable to Carry: The padded shoulder straps and back support make it easy to carry, even when fully loaded. I walked about 3 miles with it, and it never felt awkward or heavy. Spacious Yet Compact: It holds enough for a day out—about 20 cans plus ice packs—but doesn't feel bulky. There are also extra zip pockets for utensils, napkins, or a phone. Durable & Leakproof: The waterproof lining seems strong and well-stitched. I haven't had any leaks, even with some ice melting inside. Stylish Design: It looks more like a sleek hiking pack than a cooler, so it doesn't scream "picnic gear. " Cons: The zippers can be a little stiff when the bag is really full, but they seem strong and haven't snagged. It's not quite enough for multi-day use—best for day trips or tailgates. Bottom Line: If you need a cooler that can keep up with your adventures—without having to drag it by a handle—this backpack cooler is a smart buy. It's perfect for hiking, biking, beach days, or outdoor festivals. Highly recommended for anyone who wants their hands free and their drinks cold.

I bought this because the zipper on the one I had before broke. It was always difficult to open. This new one has a much improved zipper! Much easier to open. Seems to keep colder to. Only drawback was the color selection. Not many to choose from. Otherwise it has been a great purchase.

The cooler is made of good plastic liner. . And Ice keeps for a long time better than any other soft cooler I have owned. . The Negative about the cooler is the upper Zipper it does not slide easily even with the grease included. . The Zipper splits if you zip to fast. .

Only partially functional after six months. I used it daily as a lunchbox/drink cooler. Might have better lifespan if not used often. In my case the square shape and dainty plastic zipper make for a weak spot. The zipper lubricant works temporarily but in some spots the zipper is too far gone and simply doesn't not zip together anymore. It's a really decent cooler but not a good backpack unfortunately. Would avoid buying this one….

The zipper busted on the 3rd time i tried to zip the cooler. Didn't even get to use it. Unzipped to empty the paper and stuff inside. Zipped up. Unzipped to put in ice and drinks. Zipper broke when zipping. Seems like it could be a good product if the zipper was higher quality.

I have only had mine a few weeks, but I wish I had gone with a hard back instead. The ice barely lasts 5 or 6 hours and we have not hit the heat yet in Mississippi. It is a good size, but it doesn't hold in the cold even when I pre-chill it. I feel like our ice wont make it 3 or 4 hours at the beach or at the ballfield in July.

This cooler saved our fishing trip! When I ordered the cooler I included two of the gel packs as well. We live in Florida and flew to Oregon for a salmon fishing trip. The fishing was a blast we had 45lbs of fresh to fly back with. We followed the pre chill instructions to the T. The backpack design was extremely nice and made it a lot easier to travel through the airport with. Well as fate would have it the airport to lost our cooler and it never made it onto the connecting flight. So 48 hrs after packing the cooler with frozen fish and two ice pack it finally arrived to our airport a day late. I was expecting the fish to be spoiled and to my shock it was still frozen thus saving the trip.
