Tough, durable… of course when you load it up heavy and the fact that it has wheels and axle, makes the job all that much easier. Slimmer than the average can and easy to maneuver and you can store it in more narrower areas if you like… Lid , on or off option .Overall great trash can for the price!

I have shopped for new garbage cans and the pricing was expensive. The Rubbermaid 50 gal Roughneck Wheeled Plastic Garage was a resonable price and the perfect size for yard waste. The wheels were a good size. Some cans have super small wheels that are useless. You end up draging the can across your yard. I had Rubbermaid cans before that lasted over 20 years. I bought 4 new cans. Happy so far.

We've had this trash can a few years and it's been great, occasionally its been stolen by the local bears, we'd find it out in the woods a bit beaten up, but after pushing on it, it would pop back into its original shape, sporting just a few punctures. Lately we've had to tie it to a big old oak tree and bungee strap a chunk of barb wire on the top to keep the bears from getting into it or dragging it away. Apparently that makes a bear mad, he tore it off the tree and drug it 40-50 yards thru thick woods. This is what we found.

The Rubbermaid 50 gallon trash can is garage friendly! This fits against the garage wall with enough space to park your vehicle and walk past the can! Trash bags fit too! You know what I'm talking about- some garbage cans are odd shaped and bags won't fit without super stretching the corners and tearing the bags. This can holds 3-4 (13 gallon) bags of garbage with ease! Yep! If you have a family, you need a way to manage the trash! Rubbermaid hit a grand slam (baseball analogy) with this 50 gallon can. The lid works good too, even when you have overfilled the can and have to use the lid to squish down the garbage! The garbage truck guys are some hard workers, they don't have time to dump 3000 cans a day real gently. This can will handle it!

I guess it's worth the money, BUT , major problem I have with this is that pictures in the add show a hinged cover. It does not. The overall quality is okay, worth the money, but I would not have bought it if the pictures accurately showed no hinged cover.

I expected Rubbermaid to have a good thickness and to be able to weather the rugged handling of trash service. It didn't even survive delivery. It had two dings on the top rim and one punch in the bottom front section. Cardboard box packaging had split, and delivery provider had used massive amounts of packing tape to try to hold it together. Bravo to them for trying, but a sturdier packing box was definitely needed.

The plastic is sturdy enough, and the can looks nice, however, the wheels fall off. The very first time we used it the wheel fell off. Also, the lid is not attached, which isn't a huge deal, but it would be nicer if it was. I was really disappointed because usually Rubbermaid is a trustworthy brand. By the time we got around to being able to actually use it, it was too late to return, so now I am stuck with a trashcan with wheels that don't work

The lid does not attach to the garbage can. It sits on top of it and can be clicked on by pushing down. This offers no convenience in opening it to put in garbage. And if it is not clicked on, it can blow off and down the driveway, as mine did. Was trying to get an affordable one, but this is unsatisfactory.

They sent me the wrong lid. I called time and time again about this. Wal-mart said over and over they were giving me a refund. They NEVER did! I gave the 50 gal. trash can to my daughter. Look at the other reviews at how many times they sent the wrong lid or no lid at all. Never Again!
