Rubbermaid 9 gal Plastic Kitchen Trash Can, White

I recently bought a house with a pull out garbage can. What a hassle to find the right size. The measurements are not done the way you think they should be. These are perfect. I kind of just winged it based on other reviews, plus its easy to return to a local Walmart if its not the right fit.

We were so excited to have our new house built with a trash pull out drawer but to our surprise, the wastebaskets were SO HARD TO FIND!!. After searching high and low online and visiting multiple stores (Lowe's, Home Depot, Target and The Container Store) with no luck, I stumbled across these storage bins on the WalMart website. Thanks to someone's post reassuring us that they would fit in our pull out trash drawer. Boy were they right! Unfortunately they were not available on the store floor but we were able to have them shipped in 2 days to our local Walmart. Best part of all, the cost was well under $20 after free shipping! Thank you to the wonderful people who take the time to review products. Without you, we'd still be stressing about finding these darn wastebaskets.

We have a slide-out kitchen trashcan so we were looking for an exact replacement to fit the insert hole. (Insert hole is 13.25 X 9.25.) The old trashcan said "Rubbermaid" on the bottom and "8 GAL BAG SIZE" at the bottom on the inside. They've changed what the label says, but this turned out to be the same item. Measuring the inner dimensions at the top, (not including the lip) the trashcan is 9 3/4 X 13 3/8. The can is bowed, not strictly rectangular, so those measurements are at the center (widest) part. Height is 17 3/4.

Arrived absolutely filthy with greasy black handprints all over it. Returned to the local store. Even staff were horrified that this would be shipped out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved this wastebasket. Does not take a lot of space and easy to hide. Very sturdy and actually has a lot of room . Love having it near my desk. It looks very nice .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never thought I'd say I love my wastebasket! This is so much nicer than what I thought! It's a clear, foggy finish and it a plastic material. It is very easy to clean and it will fit anywhere. I love the shape of it! Makes it that much cuter!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this rubber maid, open top waistbasket, in my living room for a few weeks now. It's simple, durable, and easy to clean. The open top design makes throwing away trash effortless. If it's perfectly next to my sofa, without taking up too much space. Highly versatile for any room in the house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a decent size trashcan if you're looking for something small, but really useful there is no lead. It has open top and it does kind of have like a slight U top shape. The quality is really good and I like how it does fit in small places.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Rubbermaid open top wastebasket is really nice. It's heavier than other types I've had, and I like the opacity and minimalistic design. It's a nice size overall, the perfect height and width to fit where I placed it. It seems well made enough to last a long time, and that's a plus with me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great basket! I like how tall and narrow it is! It fits lots of stuff and can hold lots of items! No lid so that makes it convenient to just toss stuff in it! Nice hard plastic! And i could see how it would be easy to clean !
