Well, do the rating platform mean "lid" as in a covering or the rim of the bin? I obviously red the description of the bin incorrectly because I thought I ordered a 13 gallon bin. I need to get my eyes checked. The bin is awesomely sturdy.

This is an excellent product for containing whatever. It is the perfect size for what I need: 12"H x 11.5"W x 8.5" D. I thought that since it is "commercial" it would be more heavy-duty. I have to return it because the sides are not strong enough for the weight I need it to hold.

This product works perfectly for collecting papers for recycling. I am very happy with the price and appearance.

Seems very durable. Nice smooth plastic that doesn't collect residue. I ordered a small size (7x 11?) to make sure it would fit under my sink, and I find myself emptying it daily. I wish I had ordered a larger size. This is a great quality plastic can.

Bought this for my home office but would work for a personal office space as well. It’s about the same size as an office trash can. I love the look and how sturdy it is. I hate throwing tons of paper in the trash and a paper bag wasn’t sturdy enough for loads of paper. Highly recommend for personal use!

It's a little larger than I expected but actually works very well where I use it. And, yes, it is pricey just to have that recycling symbol on it. But it was what I wanted and I was tired of looking for just a plain blue small rectangular waste basket.

I love the bin I just wish there wasn’t big huge numbers written right on the back of it. I’m not sure why they would do that but it definitely a great recycling bin for an apartment.

Half the size of the one I have had for years. Might be okay if you like to empty every day, but fir kitchen use, it gets filled from recycles off just one mail prep. Cant believe that I paid $11 for something the size of a bathroom trash can. Not going to return since I should have read description better.

this 3-gal bin is not what I was expecting. partially my fault for not reading the fine print. $13 for a 3-gal bin is burglary! paying for the symbol!
