I haven't play it that much but the game in general is awesome. I like the graphics and the story so far.

I'm a long time player of the Rune Factory series. This one has a lots to like, the. characters, Seed, Map and Events are done nicely. However, the Farming and Combat seems dumbed down from previous titles. The game is too Easy, even on Hard difficulty.

[Employee of walmartcanada] If you've played any of the entries from the Rune Factory series, you can tell that the game stayed true to its core mechanics while also improving on some aspects. If you have not played any Rune Factory games before, the closest comparisons would be Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, or Story of Seasons. If you have not played any of these games, then a brief summary is required: Rune Factory is a mix of a role-playing game and a simulator game. The gameplay loop revolves around two general settings: the town (among other places), which revolves around the "simulator" part of the game, where you talk to the villagers, complete any quests they have for you, do some farming and crafting, and potentially finding a partner to create a family with; and the dungeons (and similarly, the open world outside of town), where you fight monsters and collect crafting materials. Now, for the review of the game itself: as the review title suggests, Rune Factory 5 is indeed one of Rune Factory's entries of all time. I've personally played Rune Factory 1 and 4 (DS and 3DS ver., respectively), and in comparison, the quality of life changes provided do help out a lot for the player and give them a variety of choices; this includes fast travel and same-sex marriage, to name a few. The game however does come with some flaws - in terms of in-game room and furniture designing, the game could really use some improvement. Other thoughts: - the story line for the game is decent - it will get grindy at points, especially when hunting down specific crafting materials - unless I'm not looking hard enough, the game could use a bestiary/encyclopedia guide of sorts so that the player can find things easier or gain more information about certain objects and monsters - I'm sure that most people are aware regarding the Switch's performance; if you don't mind some lagging in your gameplay, then you can definitely run around on the Switch; otherwise, if you want better graphics and less lag, I'd be inclined to recommend the Steam version.

Christmas gift for teenager. I'm sure she'll love it.

Game is fine, was for my wife. Game took a long time to ship compared to more popular games I ordered. Only upside was out of the 3 games I ordered this and Metroid Dread were actually sent to the right place.
